By permanent I mean the kind where they stitch them into your scalp.
"Some wigs are held in place permanently by wire loops that are stitched into the scalp. Others can be permanently attached through a process called tunnel grafting". In this method pieces of skin are cut out and make living loops for the wig."
Are there any serious draw backs to this? Like is there a chance it could get ripped off or something?
I know a guy who's been wearing the same hairpiece since the 80s. I'm pretty sure that it's permanently attached. Personally, I'd rather shave my head than spend the rest of my life looking like Simon LeBon.
I doubt that, because it's the sort of thing the body would easily reject, quite like surface piercings.
If you are having a problem with balding, keep up the products, and if it really gets bad maybe hair transplantation is the way to go? I hear it's been very successful, while expensive.
Permanent wigs sound far too scary!
How did the op go?
Why would you spend time on getting a wig attached when you got great natural hair?

I still have more procedures I need.
Anyway I need a wig because I am balding pretty badly and minox and finasteride are not working.
Why not just shave your head if you're balding badly?

This may be the most terrifying question ever posted on this board....if anyone is seriously considering this process please, please get professional advise on the consequences !!
I think I see split ends..........
ROFL!!!
Not only split ends; I think in this case, also "split BEGINNINGS!"
that pic - I am laughing so hard.... cheers!!!!
I have tried to find one myself, but with no luck. As far as I know the closest thing to permanent is the ones like I use with tape strips. I an leave mine in for several days and it is totally water proof ( the adhesive) and wind proof!. The way I do it is simple to remove to wash your own hair and scalp, and can be re-instlled in minutes. Email me if you would like more info on my process and wigs. I have never found much support for this on here even though I have 7 years growth, but suffer from some balding too!
