Hey guys!
Well, I am now around 14 months into growing out my hair! As you can see, my hair almost reaches my shoulders, so I am nearing the end of the awkward stage!
I am still trying to find the perfect hair care routine for my hair type. My scalp is very oily,so I have to shampoo every 1-2 days. I have decided to not use conditioner. My hair does not get dry, and I find it makes my hair greasy and itchy.
Well, I just thought I would share this with you guys. Any replies and comments are much appreciated!
Luke.
looks great for only 14 months!
Thank you!
Hey Luke. That's a terrific mane you have there! How long are you growing it?
Thanks for the comment Chris! My original goal was just past the shoulders, but now I am shooting for mid-back or somewhere around there.
Looking good Luke!
Thanks Peter!
Awesome growth you got there! Your hair is looking very good, not akward at all. Keep it growing and be proud!!

Thanks Andrea!
I like your hair as well! It really does feel great to finally be out of the awkward stage.
Hi Luke,
So far so good as your hair looks fabulous and will be even more so as it lengthens. You are taking the safe approach I see by adjusting your goals as you hair gets longer.I think you are destined for waist length my friend:)Cheers
Mark
Thanks for your compliment Mark!
I guess I don't have a real goal in mind, I will probably just grow until I feel like stopping, or I reach terminal length, whichever comes first. For now, I will just enjoy what I have and headbang like crazy LOL!!!
Your hair looks good. Your scalp may be too oily because of overshampooing it causing it too produce extra oil. I went through a month or two of just washing every other day and my oil production in my scalp slowed down. Just giving some tips since I know shampooing everyday may cause more breakage and damage.
Btw, your bangs seem a bit short, did you start from a buzz?
Thank you for the advice Adam, I'll take it into consideration. Shampooing every day always did seem a bit much to me.
And to your last question, my hair was about ear length when I started growing. I just got my bangs trimmed a few months back to keep them out of my eyes.
Hi Luke,
You have made excellent progress for only 14 months, and your hair appears to be thick and healthy in this photo. With your thickness, you should have no problems growing it as long as you would wish.
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks David!
Looking good there Luke. Nice progress.Hang in there with the awkward stage, not much further to go.
Charlie
Thanks Charlie!
