How fun it is to actually meet in person such great guys as John and Kevin who I had the honour of dining with last night. And wow........the energy these two guys have in traveling and never seeming to get tired. AMAZING! Can you imagine starting in Seattle, driving to Portland, then to my location west of Portland where I had barely time enough to point out to them on our way to dinner in Hillsboro "The Family Town" so well known and admired. (I think actually driving through it in person left them both speechless at the wonder of it all.) And then back to Seattle.........all in one day? And no signs of being tired. WOW!
What great guys they are with fun senses of humor, and how struck I was by the dedication to the MLHH and the tremendous amount of time and effort both put in to make this wonderful board tick the way it does. JohnB certainly has out-done anything one could ever hope for to keep the board going with so many extras, and of course Kevin is already a legend here as our President whom we are luckier to have than could be imagined. These guys could NEVER be called "lazy." No way!
Kevin...........if you see this when you get back, I still want to know the total of those dinners. Remember....."I" was going to flip the cost and it wasn't my fault when the waiter handed me the bill (that had hiddden mints in it) which I dropped, and when diving under my seat to grab mine YOU STOLE that bill and payed before I had a chance! So now the next ones on me.......and the one after that too! :-)
Thanks for everything John and Kevin. It was truly a pleasure.
Justin~
Hi Justin,
I am delighted that you had a chance to meet up with JohnB and Kevin, and I agree about all the wonderful work they have done for the hyperboard. Don't forget the outstanding contributions you have made as well, as our former president, and our community would not be where it is now without all you have done.
That is such a great photo of the 3 of you, and I thoroughly enjoyed your story of the "bill episode" as well!
Hopefully, some day in the future, I will have the pleasure of meeting all of you!
Take care,
David
Hey, aren't meetups cool! Thanks Justin for posting that pic of the three of you.Its great that you were all able to coordinate this event especially due to the distances involved.I'm sure you told Kevin and John all the fun they are missing on the board but that we are holding down the fort for them.lol.Also their services and dedication to the board are to be admired.Guess this one will be known as the Presidential Meetup!I'll be heading west myself later this week to the Bay Area so hopefully I can catch a few longhairs too:)Cheers all!
Mark
Meeting are great, indeed ! I saw that this travel must be a 250 miles one ! Huge :)
I hope to travel in the states one day, so maybe I could meet one of us.

What a great shot of the three of you; representing nearly half of the MLHH Staff and nearly half of the globe !!
Glad you had a good meet....I am so disappointed that I couldn't make it.
I wish some of us would meet in Buffalo MY

Nice!!
Great your guys could meet up, must have been a nice evening!
Nice!! That's an awesome picture!
Can't wait to meet you guys, this'll be a blast!
This should be interesting, as I've never replied from the computer at work before (I'm in Castro Valley, CA; not at my home computer in SF)...
Nice pic of the infamous 3 Muskateers, guys! I hope you're staying out of trouble, --- or, if up to your usual mischief, I'll have to call the MLHH police on you.... Oh! I forgot: you ARE the MLHH police!

Hey Kevin and John, A late Welcome to the great Pacific Northwest! I hope you had a good time up here , though it has been a bit colder then normal. From the post here it appears you are busy guys in your travels! I live east of Seattle and get over there quite a bit and its a great place as is Portland. If I had been keeping up with the board better I could have even met you over in Seattle for a dinner and a tour. Anyway hope your all good and having safe travels. Take care! Longhairedone
