Hi,I'm 14 years old and I have a medium hair length.I combed my hair on a white towel for 60 seconds and I shed 60 hairs in the process. Is that normal or is there something wrong?
Next time comb for 30 seconds and you will only lose half as much hair. :D
It's not necessarily that you lose 60 hairs that fast, but that the act of drying your hair shakes them all loose. Your hair is probably coming out gradually during the day and just getting stuck with the hair still attached to your head.
As others have said, this is completely normal and you should not be worried about hair loss, especially at such a young age.
Thanks alot for your replay :D
The prevailing wisdom is that on average we lose about 100 hairs per day. Longer hairs don't drop as easily from the mess, so those 100 hairs usually come out during combing or washing, and they accumulate until one of those activities (for those of us that don't comb or wash on a daily basis).
Excessive shedding is a normal frustration of having long hair.
Thanks alot for your replay:)
