Hey, so here's a picture of my progress so far. One thing I've noticed about my hair though, its that it's growing alot straighter than it did before I shaved it. Funny thing is that before I shaved it I always wanted straight hair and now that it's growing back somewhat straighter than it did before, I miss it being curly. Hopefully it will get curlier/wavier as it grows.
Your hair is doing terrific! Nice update. Perhaps the curlier of before could have been due to weather or time of year? In any event, you WILL have gorgeous long hair this time by just letting it grow.
Perhaps, my dad never has had incredibly long hair but back in the day he had a good mullet, he says his hair got curlier as he grew up, i dont have any proposed reasoning for how this happens, but perhaps the opposite could happen?
I think you have a very good point, for I know 1st hand that hair "does not" always stay the same. Thanks for bringing this up.
Nice progress so far, that still sucks about the fire, but that also the great thing about hair... It always comes back :)

Mine flipped like that too and ended up being curly now at almost 18 months. Trust me it's gonna be curly :D haha.
Keep it growing and please stay away from the scissors for a while if you wanna see growth.
A good start Brett. I felt kind of like when I grow out my hair at first, it is going to be reasonably straight, but after growing it out enough, I noticed that it started forming curls. After hearing my dad saying that my hair is going out of whack since it is not straight, I became very attracted to curls in a person's hair in general (not afro). With that, I hope you will get curls in your hair, like what you hope for.
