Hoisting a Chocolate Stout. Cheers to one and all!
Halloween was fun at Short's Brew Pub in Bellaire, MI

That looks like a nice place for ales and will have to try that on the next adventure around the lake.
Cheers,

John,
Would love to have a pint or two with you if you ever get up into the Grand Traverse Bay region in northwest lower Michigan. Shorts is great as well as Right Brain Brewery in Traverse City.

Hey, that a really cool costume and isn't it great when you can use your own hair as part of the getup!Great sounding brew too as I like the sound of Chocolate Stout:)Cheers!
Mark
Thanks Mark, Yes my costumes for the past few years have been centered around my hair. A picture from last year included.----- --A nice rich chocolate malt flavor to the stout. Was very yummy!

Chocolate Stout! The rich color matches your glorious hair.
Hey my mom's family hails from them parts. She was born and raised in Kingsley and her dad lived in Traverse City well into his nineties. As a child, we would visit grandpa often, I remember it fondly!
Bruce
Thanks Bruce,
I work near Kingsley!

For the last number of years I've been dressing up my sailboat and myself to hand out the candy. It was great fun again this year and a number of people said that they were looking forward to coming to my house.
I even found a hair-beading kit to dress up the mane with.
Andrew, Cool idea for the Holiday. Neat costume as well!

Where'd you find this kit? Thats something I've wanted to try for a while. Not for a costume, more just for the hell of it. Thats the best thing about long hair, if we wanna change it, we can!!!
I used a "Girl Crush Hair Beader" from Toys-R-Us. It's basically a little gizmo that has a hook on one end and a trigger handle on the other. You thread the beads onto the tool, hook a section of hair (not too much or it gets stuck, squeeze the trigger and the beads go over the hook onto the hair.
It's well designed and works well. I quickly ran out of the supplied beads after 4 strands but my wife said that what I need to look for is "pony beads" to add more to the kit.

Haha!!! How come all the little kids get the cool stuff :)
Hmmmm, that is interesting, sounds like something fun to try. I don't totally understand the mechanics of it, so... maybe I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

Thanks Mark!
