Well, my hair hasn't grown a lot in the last several years. As a few of you may remember, I stopped cutting it in 2000. It does seem a bit longer than a few years ago, and the last photos I have online of myself have it looking noticeably shorter, so just thought I'd post a photo from a week or so ago. It's really not that much longer. I guess I'm really posting it because I like the photo, and I love collecting neat photos of people(as arrogant as that may make me sound). So... I hope you like it!
I like to come back here every now and then and see new faces, and new hair! I'm glad it's still going strong, and good information is still being shared. May your day be bright, and your hair be free of tangles! :)
Paddy, An awesome photo. Nice straight long blond hair!
peace, jonalbear
You're getting some serious length on your beard, too!
Hey Paddy
Great seeing you back and as always such spectacular hair! Hope all has been going well with you.
Take care-
Justin~
Looking just wonderful, Paddy!
That bright red beard is looking nice, too.
You're definitely in "high cotton" with those good looks :-)
Good to hear from you again.

Your hair is gorgeous, Paddy. It is great to see that photo, for comparison. Your hair has gotten longer for sure. I had no idea you were so tall. (In the photo you appear to be about 6'5" in height.)
Scott
arrogant or not, you have some great hair. And once again, someone else has a beard and makes me wish I could grow one out.
Peace,
~Jarvis~
Hey, I remember you Paddy! Your hair is still wonderful, don't be stranger, stranger!
Bruce
Glad you dropped by Paddy.....your hair is just fantastic. I take it you are literally standing in "Tall Cotton" ?? (at least it looks like a cotton field to me....)
Hope to hear from you more often.
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hi Paddy,
Great to see you posting my friend and it certainly has been a long time. You are certainly looking very well and the hair has certainly grown and is in amazing condition.
Don't be a stranger and keep it growing.
Cheers,
John.B
Hi Paddy,
It is great to see you posting again, and it has been ages since I have seen you on the hyperboard! Your hair is looking fabulous these days, is definitely longer, and is a real inspiration to everyone.
Keep it growing,
David
Hi Paddy,
Cool pic I like it as well the hair looks excellent.
It's great that you stopped by and definitely an inspiration.
to the trimmers not to trim.
See trimmers you can have this too but you have to let it grow.
LOL
Kevin
Fabulous photo in every way. You have definitely gained length! Your hair is such an inspiration.
Really, really awesome hair, man. However, since you are looking for feedback, the beard is horrible on you. Keep the hair, lose that beard.
I like the photo (and the hair).
Hey Paddy: Your hair looks incredible and is about the same length and color as mine. I've found another long, lost brother here. Great picture.
Del
Damn, is it just the way you are standing, or do you have a pair of bell bottoms there. If they are, where the hell did you get em?
Hey Bro #1:
They aren't really bell bottoms, but they do flair out a little. Guess it's just the way us cowboys stand.LOL.
Del
Hey Del, looks like the blonde longhairs just have more fun!lol.Guess
we'll have to start a new subgroup for us blondies:)Awesome pic Del
as you take a great photo.Great seeing you back on the board more
often too..Take care my friend
Mark
It's great to see a new pic of your hair! I checked your site and I'm really impressed of your really good looking hair and beard. They both look awesome and seem to fit you a lot. It's interesting how your beard is red and your hair's blond! Are they both natural?
-Andrea
Thanks for all the responses! I wasn't really even expecting much, so thanks for the compliments!
jonalbear: Thanks! Yes, mostly straight, heehee
Brad in Indiana: Yeah, I'm curious to see if terminal length for the beard will increase. I doubt it will with the scalp hair.
Justin: Thanks so much! Yep, things are going ok, enjoying the Fall weather!
Oren: Thanks! Your beard has always been my idol-- or whatever a beard one is envious of is called. lol and it goes great with your hair.
Hairball: Thanks! Yeah, it's a nice length. There are lots of situations where it being a few inches longer would be a bit of a pain(not that I'd cut it), so yeah, I'm happy with the length. Do you have any photos of the younger you with long hair? :)
Absalom: Thanks! No, I'm only 6'2". Maybe with heals... lol I remember a long time ago you reminded me it would be a good idea to not brush, but gently use a pick. I do try to be gentler, and for a while there, I had lost my brush and was just doing everything by hand. I know that didn't hurt things.
Jarvis: Thanks! Why don't you grow out the beard? Is it just thin, or nothing at all, or what? People have mixed feelings about my beard, but if it was thinner and patchier, I'd still leave it. Let people say what they say. btw, your hair looks so silky! Nice!
Scooper: Thanks!... still. lol Ok, I'll try to stop by more often. :D
White Tail: Thank you. Yes, it's cotton. Sorry, I don't understand the "tall cotton" reference(or Oren's pun, whooops). But yes, beautiful Fall!
John.B: Thanks. Yeah, like I said I think I have just been gentler with it the last few years, and the last photo I have up really was quite old. I sure will keep it growing, if it will, anyway. :)
DavidN: Thanks! I do love my hair, but I don't think it's "amazing". There are plenty of other people with great hair; they just cut it. Your hair is looking nice too!
Kevin: I know! lol Just don't trim, people! Well, I think lots of people trim because they like it to be even. I guess that's fine, but I prefer it "natural", so mine does trail off a bit, get thin at the end. But yeah, to those of you in the awkward stage or whatever, just hold off on trimming, at least for a few years. :)
Jason: Thanks! I always loved your waves and shininess. Ok, I just checked--good, your hair is long. lol I remember it going back and forth. Keep it long! (imho) :)
Benny: Actually, I wasn't totally looking for feedback, but I never turn it down. Thanks for the feedback, really. I do appreciate the honesty. And thanks for the compliment too! :)
Charlie: Thanks! ...on both! (Though I didn't take the photo)
del: Wow, yeah-- if your hair was less wavy, maybe dried straighter, I think our hair would be identical! length, color, etc. and I really like the shine!
Andrea: Thanks! Yeah, there are some old pictures on that sight, which I haven't done anything with in years, but I guess it's good as an archive. Yes, they're both natural. On some the hair/beard are the same, and on others different I guess. If you will notice, Oren's beard and hair are closer to the same color(though his beard is a bit redder than mine). I have seen people with beards who it looks like would have pretty much the same situation going on as me(though it's harder to tell when they're short).
Yeah, I'm only 16 so the whole beard idea isn't going too great. Haven't shaved my chin in about a month though, and its maybe a quarter inch for a tiny bit of sideburn and some on my chin, and that is pretty thin. But still keep my mustache shaved because it grows a good bit faster and fuller. Oh well, if hair teaches you anything its patience... and who the closed-minded idiots are :)
And thanks, over the past couple months I've been able to get my shampooing down to about once a week, so its alot healthier than it used to be!
"High Cotton" is a song by Alabama.
The phrase implies that your life is good.
"...If you have a good cotton crop, if its tall (high), and healthy, and full, then you will have a good income and a good life. Also when the cotton is tall, it is time to harvest and collect the money. This is why "in tall cotton" is good..."
Enjoy the tune.....good words for the woes of the times.
Alabama sings ''High Cotton''
Paddy, the beard is fantastic. Don't you DARE shave it! I wish I could marry a man who looks like you :-)
Hey, it's not too late. Send me an email... ;) lol Kidding! I mean, not kidding about the email; anyone should feel free to email me-- kidding about the conspicuously forward pursuit of a self-implied, completely uncalled for consideration.
Thanks though! I don't have plans to shave it. In fact, I have plans not to! :D lol
BTW, are you really 6'5"? :-)
No, Absalom is just trying to fool you. haHA! Joking, Absalom-- you have beautiful hair and beautiful snakes! I know the 6'5" was just a guess. :) Anyway, I'm only 6'2". It's nice: Tall enough to be called "a tall guy" sometimes (or more often "a tall guy with long hair, a beard, and a goofy smile) but short enough to fit in pretty much anything designed for the normal sized person. Yay!
Paddy -
The board won't let me send you an email so I have attached my email address to this post in case you want to send me one :-)
Jann
I had no idea your hair was that long. Looks awesome!
