I was watching the stupid thing about 2012 and they showed this guy with long dark hair and a beard so called how Satan looks, it just makes me mad that they put long hairs in the bad eye like that. I mean come on why the hell would they do that, that's just a kick in my ass and too my fellow long hair brothers!
But about my travel I will be taking a little road trip starting off from Mississippi and going to Savannah, Georgia to see the famous haunted places I been wanting to for so long and then going down to St. Augustine, Florida then going to the Myrtal Plantation in Louisiana to see the old haunted slaves home so should be an intresting trip! if anyone wants to meet up that lives close to these areas please let me know asap! :)
ps: ill be traveling from November 23 or 24 to about the 1st of December
eh, stereotypes. They also show Jesus as a white longhair and god as a longhair with a beard. Personally I don't care anymore. Good comments is great, girls wanting to do my hair is great, negative comments... also great! Whenever a stranger assumes satanist or whatever about me I'll either go off on them to prove a point, or I'll act like their stereotype and overdo it just to scare/piss off/or make them uncomfortable.
"I'll act like their stereotype and overdo it just to scare/piss off/or make them uncomfortable."
That works best for me also! Funny thing though where I live the Orthodox Curch has the majority and all priests here have long hair and beard. So 'people' upon first seeing me assume either I'm a Satanist or a Christian, while I'm neither, and if I say that I get thrown straight in the Satanist section. :O
Wait a minute! Every depiction of the devil I've seen has short hair and a goatee. God and Jesus usually have longhair. In fact, I've brought this up to longhair haters, especially religious ones. This is just another mindless stab at longhaired males. I guess they can change their own rules whenever it's convenient for their purposes.
Tell me more about this stupid thing Mark, what was it called.
Paul
...has a new series called the Nostradamus Effect; the episode "Satan's Army" is the one that Mark is talking about.....the actor portraying Satan would be a welcome member of the MLHH. (Based on his hair, of course !)
pretty silly show....
Walter
yea Walter thats what its called thanks for the name i forgot lol
"Every depiction of the devil I've seen has short hair and a goatee."
...or sometimes a bald head with no beard.
I can't name any examples, but I only remember the devil having long or longish hair in maybe two shows/movies my whole life. I live in Tampa where death metal is very popular, and even with crazy metal, lyrics about the devil, and tons of longhair fans, nobody seems to lump all the longhairs into anything "satanic". Also of note, there are two big Christian heavy metal bands in the area who's members mostly sport long hair as well. A couple of them were even sporting some pretty neat goatees last I saw a pic of them.
I have to agree that it is usually Jesus that has the long hair and the devil with short. But long haired guys are often used to portray "bad guys" in movies and I hate that.
So do we.
Welcome to the board Karen.
Paul
I thought bald, skinhead looks with tattoos are the one portrayed as bad guys.LOL. Mostly movies where the setting is in the prison. Sorry for my english. Former lurker here. :-)
Your English seems fine to me.
Come on though, you never noticed if a movie has a longhair in it he's usually the villain? Everybody here has commented on this.
TV is even worse.
Paul
I personally think Satan would like like a news caster or a top executive business person, but quite a few movies have protrayed him that way, I wonder if those people take offense?
Man I would totally meet up in St Augustine but you're starting your trip the same time I'm going back to work on the boats so I can't make it. I've always wanted to do that tour there. By the way when you're in geogeous Savannah, you might want to look into taking the short trip up to Charleston, they have some neat haunted tours as well. Nothing really super well known, but fun anyways.
Have a fun and safe trip, and I wouldn't worry much about the Satan look. Besides isn't Satan supposed to be really good looking? Maybe it's a compliment.

If having long hair is a big deal so why don't they shave all of their heads then LMAO;P cos ( long hair refers to Satanic so short hair refers to a lil satanic right? ) LMAO!!
Wow that sounds like an awesome road trip. Just curious did you
tour any of the haunted castles in Scotland when you were over
there?
I'm sure there were some on the bus tours one can take, just
can't remember their names.
Kevin
oh yea I did, I saw many castles such as the Edinburgh Castle, Stirling and they supposibly have a little girl spirit who hauntes the dungeon where she was killed and buried in the wall. Ghost stories always facinate me :)
Well I'd love to but I've already done a 3500 mile speedy road trip taking in 15 states north to south! Still never found one haunted house at all and they all fake in Scotland!
Enjoy your trip!
Cheers,
John.b
Hmmm, Satan a Longhair. Not sure what to say about that. But on the flipside, I think I only ever saw Christ as having short hair once in a photo, go figure. Enjoy the trip, hope you inspire some Longhaired spirits to make themselves known. Look forward to hearing about the trip. Have a good one.
I always thought of Satan as an angry red bald man with horns, dunno how they got the longhair idea. lol
Hi Mark,I wouldn't get too worked up over that dumb show and how they depict longhairs even though it is maddening. Not much you can do about it anyway and who cares as I'm sure hardly anyone even watched it other than you.lol.
As for your trip it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. That would be cool should you be able to meet a board member as I can say how cool that is from personal experience.Too bad we couldn't do a major board wide meet up someplace as that would be an interesting event.Oh well something to dream about:)Cheers my friend.
Mark
I'd like to add from earlier that if I believed in the devil, I'd expect her to be an old english teacher that hate's highschool and middle school kids and feeds on their souls...
but thats just my view. (I have terrible luck with english teachers)
Ahh! So you watch Invader Zim? You just described perfectly the teacher on that weird little cartoon (except she's elementary school).
I watch it, yeah, so... my excuse, 5 kids!
Paul
You perfectly described my Algebra II teacher.
Haha. I'm sorry to hear it; I'm trying to reverse the trend by being a good-hearted, long-haired English teacher.
Oh, by the way, "hate's" doesn't need the apostrophe, it would be "an english teacher who..." and please capitalize "english" two times below. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I don't blame you for beign upse about Satan with lng hair
First of all we don't knowwhat he looks like
I like AJesus with long hair better :)
Birdman
Sounds like you are planning a fun trip. It sounds like you are probably going to drive right through my area of Georgia. I live due west of Savannah in the center part of Georgia. Let me know your route later on, and we might be able to meet up for lunch or something at least.
I think you will like St. Augustine too. It is one of my favorite spots to visit, and not that far down the coast from Savannah. It has lots of Spanish history and is a charming town.
