Received this message today in response to my question as posted a few threads below. Try not to laugh too hard: HE DOESN'T MEASURE..........CAN YOU BELIEVE! LOL And to think, the moon isn't even full now! :-)

There is a Knox gelatin brand that is specifically for nails, it's about 7.99 for 14 packets. Within a month of using it you will notice a marked improvement in the growth rate of your nails as well as the quality. I stopped cutting my hair in 06 and now it's about to the middle of my back, I can't say for sure how much my hair has grown because I don't measure it, but Knox gelatin works in the same way that a hair or nail vitamin would work. I will say that I have noticed more length.
