I've grown my hair since late last September. I like to think it has a long way to go but I dread the maintenance. Looks like I'll have to start combing conditioner.

Looks very good to me so far considering the short amount of time. No need to dread growing it out however. Just kinda go with the flow and enjoy the happiness of long hair!

You're right conditioner will help your hair a lot. It will reduce the frizz a lot.

The "high maintenance" longhair is more theory than fact. I find it's not hard to maintain at all.

Like paul said, I haven't found long hair to be much maintenance. The only time I've spent a good bit of time on it is when I'm trying to get more overly extravagant hairstyles (I like to show off)

Hi Jack. Looking at your hair, I can't believe all the curls you have in it. On the spectrum between straight and afro, your hair is between curly and afro. My hair has looser curls by contrast. To tell the truth, it is more difficult to grow out hair that is curly or afro, as the length gets incorporated into curling, but it is possible. But I love the curls.
