Thanks guys!! I just did my first "water only" wash (never heard of it before) with just a little conditioner put on the ends, and not only does my hair feel soft but I also saw MUCH less hair around the shower drain!!
Now for my question: what do you do with your hair when you go to bed - sleep with it loose or wear it up in a banded pony tail? I was told that wearing a pony tail was better at night because it keeps your hair from getting damaged by rolling over on it, etc. But I was also told that wearing a pony tail can cause more damage!! (I only use cloth scunci's on my hair, no elastics or rubber bands.) So how is the healthiest way to keep your hair at night while sleeping?? Thanks so much in advance!
Great you liked the result!
I don't know what's the best way to sleep with your hair, I sleep with a loose ponytail to minimize tangles.
When I had much longer hair as a teen...before the cut. I would do a segmented pony.
I now sleep with my hair in a pony tail. In the first 15~ months of growth however I had it loose, since the hair was too short for the tail to survive the night but there were also many tangles.
I wear a braided ponytail.
Not much frizz the next day, just don't lie on it.
I flip mine up over the pillow. I thrash around a fair bit, so a ponytail would probably cause me more damage.
Until my hair was waist-length, I wore it loose. After that I tossed it over the pillow and let it hang over the head of the bed.
