Hello new and old members! This LONG topic, unfortunally has no pics since camera is loading, but it has an important message. (At least for me. XP) I grew my hair from short to a weird style with a fringe on an eye and spiked back for 1 year and some months. I then decided to dye my black hair red and get rid of spikeness and fringe and get a normal part and style. (In May 2009)
Unfortunally, having such a different cut before, I had troubles making my hair look good, due to so much uneveness. I've been disappointed for months (from May to November!!, my problem was I truly wanted to grow long hair but I wanted to have it fixed due to too much uneveness, but yet I was too scared.
Today I'm finally, finally satisfied of how my hair is looking! The reason is I finally got a trim. I actually got a small trim on October but it was like 0.5 cms and didn't help much at all. I lost only some lenght from the side bangs, wich were all the cause of uneveness. Some people might not like when bangs are shorter than the rest, but, boy, I sure do! Now that I'm happy and satisfied I'm planning to grow out my hair mid back without any messing up. I'm only thinking of dying a small stripe of the back blonde, but that requires bleaching and that's equal to damage, but since it's a small stripe it wouldn't be big deal, wouldn't it? I'm still thinking about it though.
From this story I learnt something: 1)I prefer point cut ends 2)One lenght hair wouldn't be for me at all.
My goal might be reached in 2 years I guess, but there's no hurry. I'm going to enjoy watching my hair grow well with my new style. No more sadness and worrying. Sorry about not posting a photo, I'll be sure to post one soon or maybe I'll wait the first days of December.
Thanks for the support you all gave me! I never were able to explain what was my problem and most members kept suggesting to avoid the trim. If they could have seen closely how badly cut my sides were, they wouldn't have think it the same way, I bet. It was real hard to show it on photos. Anyways, expect an update soon! And that also reminds me it would be better if my avatar was changed...now I have different styled hair wich is black, no more uneven red hair!
Greetings and STAY METAL to all the metalheads out there.

the dreaded trim....
ive never had one, in fact a post ago, you didnt recommend one in my case, which i will hear advice and wait until newyear, maybe all the booze will make me forget bout the trim, but not all trims are evil, as per your post, Im glad yours came as you wanted!
Woot! To your personal satisfaction. I know exactly what you went through, but am happy I didn't give in to the trim ideas I had at times.
Charlie
Thanks, Charlie!
I would have love to avoid the trim but I really had to do it, my hair wasn't akward, it was badly cut, wich is different. Some pieces were totally hacked.

I think it's good news that you're happy. It's only you that that you have to answer to and if something is bugging you, you've got to take care of it.
I'll look forward to seeing your update.
Bruce
Thanks, Bruce! I sure am happy. :)
I'll be posting an update soon.
