This is not a comic strip I usually read, not being very sports oriented. However, the November 30th strip caught my eye. It describes ponytail pulling as a uniquely female sports foul. Yeah, sure, only girls have ponytails (rolls eyes)!
I'm going to choose to take it as only women would pull each other's hair. We menfolk are just more evolved and civilized.
