I just finished watching this week's episode of The Gilmore Girls. The episode included a story line involving a longhair. What was really neat is that the longhair was portrayed as intelligent, thoughtfull and kind. The person who took issue with him, and who was critical of his long hair, was portrayed as an ignorant, abnoxious fool. This was great to see!
Gilmore Girls in general assumes the audience has a bit of intelligence (not to mention that they can keep up with very fast talkers).
