Hey,
I was looking on youtube and found a wonderful treasure trove of braiding tutorials by the lovely Torrinpaige.

My hair isn't nearly long enough to do any of these yet, so I can't testify whether the videos are actually easy to follow or not... but it looks like they would be.
A lot of the styles are feminine, which is only natural because she is a she lol. But there are several that are more unisex. Experimentation is probably key. Of particular interest to me are the Rope braid (which I've noticed already has a tutorial on the links page here), the Hawser braid, the 4 Strand braid, and the Fishtail (aka herringbone) braid.
She has 53 videos, most of which relate to braiding and buns (if it's a braid, you can bun it). A few relate to hair care and the others are random stuff... dogs, holiday decorations. So, there's a lot to look through. And, even if you don't want to braid, she's kinda funny at times.
