I'm getting a B.C. Rich Warlock Bass Guitar for Christmas and was wondering if anyone plays the bass here or knows about my bass!
Hey Mark, another longhaired bass player here. That is a very nice-looking bass, I myself play a 5-string Warwick Double Buck. How long have you played for?
oh I don't play yet but I am going to take lessons :)
I play a 5-string low. I don't keep up with the latest must-have instruments; I've just had the same one the whole time. What sort of music do you generally play?
I am going to learn the bass don't play it yet and I will play metal music !
I'm a jazz bassist and have 2 uprights [both need work to make them playable], a Yamaha fretless bass guitar, and my electric upright. Here's what my electric upright looks like. This is NOT me...

god dam that is nice but sorry mate never played the bass version :P (jelous) lol
Hi Mark!
Great that you are getting a Bass Guitar!
Playing music is a way of living, it is realy awesome.
I play Guitar for 5 years now, playing lead and solo guitar in a Blues band. I have a 70's Fender Strat, a Ibanez RG170 with Customized Dimarzio humbucker (for the heavyer stuff), and a Ibanez Semi-Hollow body Guitar.
Anyway... It is important to know what kind of music you realy want to play.
If you are a Jazz or Blues musiscian, than a BC rich bass is not the right Bass Guitar for you. The pickups are to strong to create a smooth Jazzy or Bluesy sound.
If you are a Jazz of Blues musician, than a BC rich bass is not the right choice. The pickups are to strong, to create that smooth Jazzy or Bluesy sound.
Most people are buying BC Riches only for there rough look. They are actually great for playing Heavy, Thrash or any kind of Metal you like, but for my opinion, there are better Guitars :)
If you take a Fender and play over a Vox tube amp, than you have that realy characteristic feeling. But thats me :) I'm a Blues musiscian, so i'm always bitching about sound, and which Guitar is better or not haha :)
BC Riches, the Bass or Guitars are perfectly good for playing Metal, but as i said, there are better Guitars.
Take a look at Ibanez, Peavy or Schecter.
And also a realy important thing is your amplifier.
London City, Peavy or Marshall have some realy good amplifiers.
For further questions... just ask ;-)
Bye
that is cool Vincent! I'm going to play metal so the BC Rich is perfect for me, but thats cool that you play blues on your bass dude! :)
Hii!
I'm not a Bass player. I play Guitar ;-)
BC Riches Guitars and Basses are great for Metal. Not my style of Guitars, but maybe yours is. The sound is too raw and heavy for my style of playing.
What for Amplifier do you have in mind?
Greetz
Being a bass player, I can tell you that it's the coolest instrument ever! You see lots of guys that can shred on the guitar but when you see someone do crazy sh** on the bass with their fingers, now that's cool! If you play in a band, you also make sure that they don't sound flimsy and wimpy. Have fun and best of luck on your new adventure!
