Hi. I'm a 15 year old who wants to be a longhair. But I don't know how. I have short brown wavy hair, my mom wants me to, but the kids at my high school think I'm crazy. I know of only 2 other longhairs. One has straight brown hair at shoulder length, the other has white hair that's long in back and semi on the sides, but he lets it grow and then he shaves it off! Not what I want to do. I want my hair to be the same length as Zachary Hanson but I don't have that color. Give me some help.
Actually, I don't know if anybody can be of much help to you. Leting your hair grow has to be a personal decision, that you have to make by yourself. Brown curly hair makes for a very nice mane of long hair if you take good care of it. Don't let other kids dictate what you want. If you let your hair grow, do it for yourself, and because you like it and think it's cool. That way if other people don't like it, who cares? As far as you only knowing 2 longhairs, you can see there are many more of us around. Who knows, maybe you set the trend at your school! Be advised though. The worst part of letting your hair grow, is those awkward months when your hair is not long enough for a ponytail, but keeps going in your face, mouth and eyes. If you can stick with it though, it's well worth it. Hats and bandanas are a great help at that stage, if you go for that style, or getting it all under a basebal cap and letting the hair out of the back opening. Try it. It can be fun, and at least will get you some attention at school for a while! Don't tell anybody you are doing it and wait for the comments when it starts getting long.
Good luck!
