Hi Kevin (and Paul),
Thank you, Kevin, for letting our fellow members know. Also, I would like to welcome you, Paul, to our team, and look forward to working with you in the future!
David
Thank you David for the warm welcome. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun.
Paul
....growing hair is easy....being a MLHH moderator can cause you to tear it out ! Ha!
Welcome aboard Paul...looking forward to seeing you in the "Back Room"
Walter
ROFL! Great one, Walter!
Bill
Oh yeah Walter, heads are gonna roll! Just kidding!!!
Paul
yay congrats paul and thankyou
I appreciate it dave.
Make sure you stick around now, your hair, being straight as it is will probably get long in no time..
Paul
What? PaulKMF as a moderator? Good grief, you guys must be desperate! Lol.
Seriously though, I'm grateful you guys considered me and it would be an honor to help out. I really do love the board and there is no other place to get as much positive feedback, haircare tips and general longhair advice than the MLHH hyperboard.
There is also no better place to vent about hair prejudice, hair haters, hair nazis and job discrimination than here. If we continue to support each other like we have been, sooner or later, we will change the general outlook about our chosen hairstyle. I do see the day when we can apply for any job, go to any school or just go about our daily lives without having to worry about some ignorant bonehead telling us to get it cut.
As a mod I'll continue to stand up for anyone who dares to grow out their hair and deal with the daily foolishness that they get from it.
I realize some may not support my being made a mod. All I can say is, I understand those misgivings as I may be a bit confrontational at times. On the other hand, we have to stand up for ourselves and confrontation is often a part of that.
I like to speak my mind and I encourage everyone else to do the same.
Some of my own opinions have changed since I've come here a year ago. Each time it was due to some exchange, often heated, and I consider myself a better person having acknowledged another point of view.
Btw, there is no one on this board that I hold any resentment toward.
Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of the team and I'll try to do a good job.
Paul
PS. some one please e-mail James and tell him the good news. (Hehe, sorry, I couldn't resist)
Hey, congratulations, Paul! Few on the planet, if any, are as dedicated to our cause than you! Your dedication in this new position will continue to be a great asset for the community.
Fret not, Paul, for "changing your mind" is just as honorable as the cause of "freedom of speech". After all, that is our sole purpose for having it.
Having spent some time on the crew, I can say that one of the great things about it is that discussions are had, rough edges of each of us from time to time are chipped off, and a consensus emerges that more closely represents what the users would want than any one man could ever achieve. You will be changing your mind sometimes - set a group of longhairs on a task and most assuredly, everyone there does!
Bill
Congrats, Paul, and I know you'll do a superb job. I like your thinking below too, for anyone who never changes his mind is an idiot, and you Sir, are no idiot. Actualmente, tu eres muy inteligente y muy simpatico! I look forward to being on the other side for a while now, and hopefully we'll have some good discussions.
All the best, Matt B.
Hey Paul,
At least they aren't quite as desperate as a few years ago, sometime back in late '04 as I recall, when they even went as far as to ask a total computer-idiot like me to be on the Moderating team... Now that's what I call REALLY "desperate!" (LOL)
Well said -- I agree!!
You are very dedicated to the longhair cause, Paul, and Angel along with you have been an inspiration to me to see how you are with your kids, and how strong you are as a family in a part of the country that usually greets long hair with such adversity. I can think of no finer person to add to the Moderation Crew at this time than you!!
EXCELLENTLY stated, my friend! Hey, there were plenty of people who didn't like me, either, -- both while I was a moderator, and also when not a moderator. I even remember seeing some poster use the handle, "NOT Urban Cowboy" - lol!!
Amen! The same can be said for me, too. Being a moderator is truly a "labor of love" Those heated exchanges are just growing pains we all go through. Most of the time during my moderating days, before I had to leave in Dec. of '07, I had a lot of fun behind-the-scenes by torturing my other fellow moderators with corny jokes, maybe an occasional prank or 2, or other fun stuff; but, there were also plenty of stressful times as well, like difficult decisions to make, or times of me losing my cool, etc.... Hey, we all do it for the pay, right? [wink] You've already had a good taste of all the give and take; so, trust me, you'll do just fine, Paul!
You're awesome for saying that! (And I believe that this is the true spirit of being longhair.)
I always considered it to be a great honor to have served in that capacity, and I know you think that way, too -- so, thanks for being willing to say "yes!" to this job, Paul... and who knows, maybe if you become really really good at it, the board might even double your pay someday, too!! (LOL)
ROFL!!! You're too much!
All kidding aside, Paul, my best to you!!
- Ken
Welcome to the "back end" of MLHH Paul!

Just kiddin' - Great team working the mod crew, and congrats on becoming a part of it!
- Oren
Oh, that's a good one. Is that why they call it the "back" room? LOL!
Paul
Good luck with your new task as a moderator. It's great to be a mod of this community and I'm glad you're willing to help!
Yeah, I read almost every post anyway so it's not really like I'm going to have to do anything extra.
Paul
Works for me. Paul has always given me a chuckle with his great takes on situations. No complaints here. Good lock to our new moderator or should that be modhairator?
Lol, that would be the correct pronunciation.
Paul
concrats on you joining the moseration crew
I wish you all blessings to you Paul
Birdman
Thanks Birdman!
Hey, what happened to your avatar?
Paul
------------
He failed to put his e mail address in that block after posting his handle.I've done that a few times myself in error and all of a sudden.......Hey,wheres my avatar!lol
Mark
Here it is long hair anf gotie and all
Birdman
and I am sure you will fit right in. Your passion and drive for longhair rights is what MLHH is all about. Congrats.
Scott
Thanks Scott. I do believe that it's the best place for us to talk to others about discrimination.
Paul
Hey Kevin,
That's GREAT news, and I can think of no one else more deserving to be added on to the Moderating Team at this time than Paul -- he is VERY dedicated to the longhair cause, and a symbol of strength in adversity (especially considering his battles he's had to fight with the conservative surroundings of the region in which he lives). I also greatly admire and appreciate the support that his wife, Angel, has given us here at MLHH. The 2 of them together are one explosive hairy stick of dynamite -- so, watch out, any short-haired bigots who might happening to be reading this!
A big CONGRATS and a very hearty THANK YOU as well to Paul, for being willing to take on this job!!
- Ken
Thanks Ken, it took me 35 years to find Angel and she was worth the wait.
I never really wanted to fight for "hair rights", lol. But over the years I just got fed up with the stupidity the Hair Nazis continue to come up with. It was only a matter of time before I clashed with them.
Paul
Thanks for the compliment Ken. I always enjoy seeing your posts on here.
~Angel
Thanks Paul and Thanks to all the fine folks that keep this forum runnin.
Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
Frank
Merry Christmas to you too Frank.
Paul
j/k :) Congrats Paul! I'm sure you'll do a fine job of being a moderator.
That picture looks just like he did when he found out that he was moderator. j/k
Oh! Real funny babe!
BTW, I took $20.00 out of your purse. :-0 Thanks. Hehe
Paul
That's okay. It was the twenty that I took from you.
Angel

Have you looked in the mirror lately? You're the one who looks like a troll.
j/k LOL ;p
Angel
Ok, ok. I know when I'm outgunned. (Limps off to the troll cave.)
Paul
Well if your a troll now you can delete yourself.
LOL

Hi Angel,
You two are a hoot -- either that, or "double trouble" (LOL)!!
Speaking of trolls...
When I was a kid, I used to love those stupid-looking sexless ("anatomically missing") naked dolls w/ mega-long hair called trolls. Considering the fact that my ex-navy dad forced me and my brothers to have mandatory buzz-cuts every summer, as well as ugly short haircuts during the rest of the year as well, I'm surprised he allowed me to own one of those troll dolls. I bet its "evil influence" turned me into the longhair fanatic that I am today!
Nowadays, I more or less look almost exactly like one of those white-haired troll dolls, only with a beard, too.... My dad is probably rolling around and around in his grave just thinking about it (LOL)!!!!
- Ken
The wedding program says,
"what's her's is her's and what's his is her's"
So Angel stick to the program. (grin)

congats Paul KMF
your fire speak is now the law and I cant think of a better pick.
P.S. "respect my authority" adds to the south park reference for full effect.
Mike
I appreciate it Mike. I kind of figured you'd like this. ;-)
Paul
Welcome Paul and I am sure you will love it here. Take care-
Justin~
Thanks Justin. I do love it here, now I get the chance to help out once again in a cause that's very important to me.
Once I found some "hair slogans or mottos" in the archives (posted by you a long time ago), do you remember where they are? Some of 'em were pretty damn good.
Paul
Congrates Paul!
Thanks Daniel!
