OK i'm about 9 months into it and i grew my hair long for one reason. So i wouldn't have to worry about it. Though i find myself fooling around with it and trying to get it to look just right, if i don't do anything to it, my hair becomes puffy and wavy and just looks sooo bad. I grew my hair out so i could walk when it was windy out and let my hair just go with the breeze, but instead it gets all puffy and piles on top of my head. Is it really worth all the pain, does it actually flow like i want it too eventually.
Nope i did but stopped, i guess its just not long enough yet. I just hate how it will flow in the wind but pile on top of my head instead of falling in place. Dam hair!
i guess i dont get what you mean by your hair piling up on top of your head...but its not just going to fall back into place perfectly...you probably knew that though...
....then you should have shaved it off! Long hair is more work, but I think you'll find the rewards are greater.
Find yourself a good hairstylist. and I emphasize stylist over traditional barber because the Barbers I've been to know how to do only one thing and that is to cut your hair off short.
the stylist will cost a little but will listen to what your expectations are.
make sure you tell him or her that you are trying to grow your hair long and do not want short hair.
make it clear and good luck
