It seems like the more south you go in the US, people become more intolerant of long hair on men. By the way, this tot had curly hair.

It's that big flag again eh! One star not enough!
This is horrible..the kid is four years old for petes sake! I was reading some of the comments below and one person was talking about his refusal to conform to a gender stereotype.
It is absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe a four year old got suspended, even if it is in-school. It's absurd. He can't just drive down to the barber shop and get it cut. Rules are so ridiculous when it comes to hair. Is it like this all over Texas?

I am not sure about all over Texas, but people tend to be more inflexible in the southern states compared to the north. I almost never hear about those things up in the northern states.

Let's go easy on the star. It's completely innocent.
I live in the Dallas area and yes, Texas as a whole seems to be less tolerant of most everything except football. That doesn't mean that close to half the population-- or even more-- are not fairly tolerant of long hair and distinctive expression, which I believe is true. There are plenty of school systems with more sane rules regarding such things. But with more right wing pig-heads in positions of power, the likelihood of this sort of thing is greater.
Intolerance isn't just about the South, either. The govenor of Minnesota recently went public in an attempt to ligitimate discrimination against transgendered persons.
I think this is the same kid we talked about before. Looks like his parents gave in.
Your right about the south and is really dumb because there are a lot of longhairs down here. It's just the stupid schools.
