Hi All!
This is my first post here. Glad I found this wonderful site for us guys who like long hair =)
Putting up a pic of me and my hair. Took it today. Ive been growing my hair for 6 months now. I looks like a 70´s hairstyle but its ok =) Its my natural color, and my fringe has a natural "root lift" so it looks a bit shorter than it actually is.
My Goal is Elbow length (or what is it called??)
Sorry about my bad english. Im from sweden.
Greetings from Jim // Jimho85
Hi Jim,
First of all, welcome to the hyperboard, and I am glad you have found our community. You can be assured of lots of support in your hair growing journey.
You have a great head of hair to work with, and have come a long ways in only 6 months. Best of luck to you as you grow it longer!
Welcome aboard,
David
Welcome to the board. You will find a lot of great support here.

Hi Jim ! and Welcome to the MLHH
Please do not apologize for your English...it is fine; as a matter of fact, I would not have know it was not your native language had you not mentioned it. Trust me, there are not many of us here who could post in Swedish and get away with it ! Ha!
Great introduction and photo...you coarse and heavy hair looks great and will show a lot of movement with length. That is already quite a length for the time you have been growing it.
We look forward to following your journey.
Thanks for Sharing

Hi Jim,
To me, your English is EXCELLENT -- in fact, better than most Americans I know (and, no, I'm NOT kidding!)!!
In any case, "elbow length" is approximately the same as "waist-length" (in my book, at least). That's a great hair length goal, for sure!
Your hair is looking wonderful, and I especially like the color (I'm jealous of it, in fact, because my hair has turned all white now).... Keep it growing, as you're off to a WONDERFUL start!!
And, before I forget to also say it: Welcome to MLHH!!!

I'd agree, Ken. What I saw had only minor errors which were well within the range of those we see from native users. He can discard the notion that his English is anything but ordinary now.
Yikes! Next time Larry and I see you, Ken, we've gotta check out your ARMS! (As you can see above, our waists are much closer to our wrists than to our elbows.) We especially want to see the calluses on your knuckles from their dragging on the sidewalk. [grin] And even more, we want to take you blackberry picking. You can give us all the berries that everyone else has missed!
Longarmed and longhaired hugs,
Bill
ROFL!!!
Yes, I guess I over-estimated the location of my elbows, as my knuckles don't *quite* drag onto the ground (YET, at least - LOL) -- although I wouldn't mind if my hair dragged onto the ground!
Blackberry picking sounds GREAT to me, only I think it's not really in-season right now (LOL).... If it was, though, I bet I'd be in high-demand w/ my super-long arms (lol)!!
Yours in Neanderthal Arm-hugging,
Ken
You'd sure be the envy of at least half the people here if it did! And I do wonder how Scott would take it. [shudder]
I see blackberries all year up by the vista point where Portola turns into Market. The cold fog up there has the poor things all confused. But blackberries certainly taste their best from late June to late September.
We had a Dutch guy visit us several years ago, and he was six foot ten. I know, he wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge and stuff, but I first took him to pick blackberries. Naughty me.
Bill
When I hold my arms straight vertically at my sides (ATTENTION! HUT...) my elbows reach my waist, so if that is what hes going by it indeed is more or less waist length. =p
You are certainly not proportioned like I am! I was also talking about the posture stance you mentioned. Of course, with the RIGHT posture, as you see above, my elbows reach my KNEES!
Sometimes you'll see the women's expressions on here since some of the guys here also frequent the women's boards, but the list at gaylonghair.com reflects what the 99.99+% of longhairs who never go to Internet longhair sites use.

Your hair is growing very well. In about 2 years, maybe a bit less, it should reach the length you want. Oh, I almost forgot, welcome to MLHH.
