Hello everyone,
I've posted here before a couple times a while back, and figured that now would be a good time to show how much further along I am in the process of growing out.
I've had hair strands around the crown of my head somehow managing to tie themselves into single strand knots, so I made the difficult decision to trim the edges of them, for the slight loss of length, I find that I am once again able to run my fingers through my hair with no problem. Other then that, I've left my hair alone since I've last posted here in what seems forever ago.
Thank you Charlie!

Your hair looks great. The single strand knot problem is something I am familiar with. I get them in my beard. (See 259156 in archive.) My beard and your mane have one thing in common - curly hair. While I understand the mechanics of multiple hair tangles and knots, I don't have a clue as to how single strands can form knots. Anyway, your mane is coming alomg well. Do keep it growing for sure.
Scott
Thanks Scott, it doesn't surprise me at all that curly hair would be more prone to single strand knots. And I definitely plan on growing it out more!
With that incredible head of curls and the "come-hither" wink....you must have a line of good looking women snapping at your heels !!! Ha!
You have come a long way and looking great !
Thanks for Sharing

Hey Walter,
I don't think Oneeye is doing a "wink" in that photo. I could be wrong, but my guess is that he truly might have only one normal-functioning eye. Possibly he wears an eye patch sometimes. In any case, he has always posted his update pics consistently showing the same eye being closed.
What I find impressive about this guy is that if I am indeed correct about my assumptions, Oneeye obviously must have a great sense of humor (because of choosing that particular handle), as well as isn't overly sensitive or lets anything get in the way of having what most folks would consider to be a handicap. Of course it doesn't hurt that he also happens to be very good-looking -- so, you are probably right at least about the comment you made re. of a lot of women most likely being after him!

Haha! Thanks, I'm actually kind of glad that it looks like I am winking. I actually had my left eye removed about 7 years ago.
One of the reasons that I desire to grow my hair out is that it will cover the band of my eye patches around the sides and back.
And I do find that some of the ladies are attracted to long hair...but I'm married so they'll have to just look!
Hey. Good work.
Try Garnier Fructice Curls and Shine conditioner. I use it now on wavey hair and it stops tangles. Oh, and don't brush your hair. Curly hair hates it and it knots up after.
Keep it lubricated a little and it's not so tangly. I had the same issue
Thanks for the tips Dougboy.
Your hair is making good progress.
It appears to be rather thick and wavy, all the better!
I can see that long hair will definitely look good on your face, and with the beard combo it will look great.
How are you managing the awkward stage? Do you front bangs annoy you much(hair in the face, etc)?
You roughly 2 months ahead of me, in terms of growth time. Wish you well.
Thanks, I have found the bangs to be a nuance especially a few months ago. I usually just combed it back while wet and wore a beanie cap until it was drier, and brush to the sides.
I remember your last update, you made a lot of progress! Congratulations, those curls look great.

Thanks Andrea. I've meant to come back sooner, but it is nice to wait for a little while to really look back and see how much further along the length has come along.
Your on your way to a magnificent mane my friend:)Keep doing what your doing as its working!Cheers
Mark
Thanks Mark!
Oneeye, Wonderful curls. Let it flow 'n grow!
peace, jonalbear
Sure will, Thanks Jonalbear!
The hair is looking good.
Thank you Adam.
Hi Oneeye,
Thank you for sharing your update with us. Your hair is growing very well indeed, and you have outstanding thickness. With that thickness, growing it a lot longer should be a breeze!
Keep it growing,
David
Thanks David, I definitely plan on growing it out farther!
Hey Oneeye,
I think your hair looks hands-down OUTSTANDING, -- and I can definitely detect quite a bit of growth that has happened since your last update! You are one of the lucky few guys on the planet who have, in my opinion, pretty much "ideal" hair for growing it long. The thickness, the nice color, all the waves/curls, etc., as well as your beard & mustache that compliments your mane perfectly... you're going be one awesome-looking longhair as it grows out more (because you already DO look awesome right now)!!
"Onward & downward!"

Thanks Ken! I could only aspire to be as cool a longhair has yourself!
I forgot to add this picture, well actually, I had some trouble getting a picture of the back of my head, (My arms just don't bend that way I guess) so here is a picture of my hair about a month ago, on a day that it turned out much better than others. I had it in in a half tail earlier, let down and ran my fingers through it, and this is how it turned out.
I found during the holidays that my one of my kid brothers is growing out his mane as well. Should be pretty neat with his curly blond hair, and it's pretty nice to hear your own mother tell you that she hopes that his hair turns out like your own.
Fantastic!
It looks so healthy, smooth and shiny. You are following a good hair care routine, or so it seems. Looks very long from the back at this angle!
Going down your hair, your hair progresses from straight into curls. When your hair grows, you will get even more curls at the ends. I was probably not here when you posted your last update.
