It's been about a month, and this is my progress. At the beginning of this week, I changed my routine (again). It was getting time to change my shampoo anyway, and I think my habit of using silk drops every night and a ton of jojoba oil once a week was making me too greasy. So... the new routine is Johnson's No More Tears baby shampoo. And every time I use that, I put one or two drops of jojoba oil in my hair. Still washing three times a week. It seems to have helped.
I'm still not smiling right! I hate posing for 10 second timed self portraits. At least headshot style ones...

Good progress man, I like the color of your hair. I see that you are starting to get your hair in your eyes, before you know it you will be chewing on it if you aren't paying attention! We all have to experiment with different routines to see what suits us best, good luck finding your best.
I really like your hair, I've seen your previous updates. :) It looks very very nice, keep on growing it! Is it wavy or straight? It seems wavy but sometimes straight hair can look pretty wavy in the akward stage. (Wich doesn't seem to be akward for you at all)
Also, how short was your hair when you started?

Wavy or straight..? That is a good question. When my hair is short, it is definitely straight. As it grows, it becomes wavier. Some days it is more wavy or straight, depending on how I style it. Today, I used the round boar bristle brush because it was especially wild this morning. So it is a little straighter than normal today. Will it continue to be wavy as I get closer to my goal of mid back? I guess only time will tell.
I'm glad you think my hair isn't awkward. It usually isn't too much trouble, but sometimes it rebels and I have big whisps coming off the sides of my head. :P
This is how I looked after my very small trim (about a centimeter) in August, which was the last time any blade has touched my hair. I think I look like a different person!

Wow, you do look completely different! The facial hair looks good as well. With longer hair and facial hair, you remind me a bit of Varg Vikernes/Burzum when he got an haircut. :D

OMG! The resemblance is scary! Wow... I didn't realize I looked like a metal star already lol.

He might not even know the answer to that question himself, I always thought my hair was straight personally, but when i got into the awkward stage it got wavy and wavy it has stayed, I consider myself out of the awkward stage as I can put all my hair into a ponytail now.
Very cool photo. I remember the awkward stage well. You have the nice red color of hair that will look great long. Hang in there.

Your update looks fantastic Dmitri and the longer your hair gets the more satisfied you will be.Switching up ones care routine is something I do as after awhile my hair isn't as nice as it was earlier using the same product.I then decide to rotate my product and that does make a difference for me at least.Careful with too much jojoba as your hair will look like it wasn't washed in a month looking very flat and oily.

I don't go deep into hair care products myself. Looking at your hair, I notice your hair is making curves. When it gets longer, you might start forming waves and curls. How many months have you been growing out your hair since you started?
