At age 25, San Francisco's star pitcher has already gotten two Cy Young awards and is a city hero. The article below may be of interest since it is primarily a discussion of Tim's long hair.
Article about SF Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum
Well done tim..oh no longhair in baseball whatever next is it such a crime!
Great!!! (And the article is not even "anti-hair") Still a few want to make him get a haircut. Didn't somebody try to cause a stink about the football players hair a while back? Now it's so "main stream". It's always the hair ain't it?
I bet they'd had a fit about these guys.

Wrestling is probably the 'sport' with the most longhairs. Most sportsman seem permitted to wear long hair, whereas in other occupations it is frowned upon. It depends on the sport too, though.
Very pre-hippie. This pic is from 1927.

Incredible. Back in a much more conservative era of America.
It reeks of controversy, well for the times. Not anymore.
Well its a good thing he plays good ball as if not I'm sure his hair would be the reason....Right!LOL.You gotta love these stylists who always seem to know whats best for a guy when it comes to hair.Well I guess they have to earn their worth by trying to recreate someone so why don't they start with themselves:)He He

Very interesting article mainly for this reason: it just shows that journalists will write about anything and spin it however they need to to have something to write about. The article really seems a bit superfluous as the addition of the several opinions really don't amount to much other that random opinions. It's like I'd just like to tell them to leave the guy alone; they were so critical about his suit even. It looked nice to me in the pictures.
In general, it takes a few hundred interviews to create a statistically significant sample. I just cringe when I see a media outlet interview three people and pass that off as an ample representation of public sentiment, while in reality three interviews are meaningless. I say, spare me the waste of my time by sparing me from that drivel.
