I haven't been around much for a month or so, I'm still here.
The biggest thing right now is the little dread thing that was going on. I started brushing it again back on the 28th. I had my usual "fuck your opinion" attitude even stronger back in December. Maybe it was a little bit of depression I don't know. Dec. 30th I stopped combing, but never felt 100% on the idea, but was pretty sure I wanted them. In the couple days leading up to My combing I missed brushing my hair, all my girly styles, and there were a few peoples opinions that I did care about that convinced me to comb it out. I didn't loose any length or thickness and didn't cut anything. Just spent an hour or so with a brush. So my hairs longer than my last update.
Anyway, on to more cheerful points. As much as I dissmissed it in the past, Im thinking about dying. If I do Im debating black with red tips or bleached like the singer from Bigelf in the madhatter video.
Also I've taken a liking to eyeliner, and maybe other makeup, just to let you know before hand when you see my next update with pictures. Aside from the fact that I got a good bit of compliments for it today, it makes a lot of people even more uncomfortable around me, which I've already explained I love to do.
Oh, and I'm keeping a slightly pitiful, thin goatee. I haven't shaved it since october and my moustache since about 2 weeks ago. Chin hair doesn't get past a half inch or so and I'm fine with that. The only reason I shave the sides of my face is because the right has a little more hair than the left.
Other than that I'm still keeping up the hippie-metalhead-goth thing and waiting for warm weather. I'm tired of this damn cold.
I think thats everything, hope to get new pics up soon. And yes, I have stopped using that site from my avatar. If you want to change the re-direct to just the picture, thats great. If not, whatever.

Hey Jarvis glad to see you post again. After reading what you said I admit I'm glad you are giving up on the dreads idea.I think your hair,as shown in your portrait, looks outstanding and I think you are beginning to realize that yourself.Your hair in its natural state is to die for.I love my dead straight hair and enjoy brushing out the length especially with my boars bristle brush:)However I'm not encouraged by the fact that you want to dye your hair. You should take note of what happened to Andrea who experimented a bit too much with that.He ultimately buzzed his hair and is starting from scratch. As for the makeup thing I have no problem with that if its what makes you happy.Certainly it won't hurt your hair!Anyway I'll be looking forward to your update as I want to see what Jarvis looks like in 2010:)Cheers my friend....

Yeah I knew I get an earful from this board about dying. I'm not sure yet anyway. And I'm not going to have a weird cut and a lot of hairspray like Andrea, just the dye.
And I am happy with my brushed hair. I think it was just the other things going on that made me stop caring. But over the past 3 weeks I've come out of that, and into it deeper. But thats a long story that I don't feel like typing out.
Don't fret Jarvis as I'm not trying to bust on you regarding possibly dying your hair. That's why we have longhair right...so we can experiment and try to make it more interesting.Certainly can't do that with a buzz.lol.Anyway I hope things are going better for you and I understand not wanting to discuss it.Just keep the faith my friend and watch out for that snow tomorrow!YIKES

Hey Jarvis, too bad to hear your dreads didn't go as intended, but no harm done apparently. As for dying, I wouldn't do it myself but the eyeliner thing sounds interesting. Also, I like your description of 'hippie-metalhead-goth' :P
Anyway, happy growing

Yeah there was no harm done. I'm not 100% on the dye, but more confident in that than I ever was on dreads. I like the eyeliner. and even if I didn't its waterproof and I can't get the damn stuff off. And I just call it as i see it :)
Hey, go right ahead and dye it! Just because a lot of guys from the past here have posted not recommending it, doesn't mean you have to listen to their words of wisdom & experience (LOL)!!
Well, as my youngest brother once said to our mom, "Whatever blows your dress up, Ma!"
Hey, life is all about having fun while you can, as long as you're only hurting your own hair, and not someone else's -- so, whatever turns you on, go for it!

Hi Jarvis,
I look forward to your next update.
I have to agree with Ken I would do as you wish and at the end of the day it's your hair and it's how about you feel and not ye olde sages and wise words from the old imperial scrolls :-)
As for Big Elf and the comment on the You Tube site "Best band from L.A. period" someone knows best. Mind you one thing from the view it's certainly true about that part of the world is the orange haze! Bring back the London Smog!
Cheers,

The standout keywords of your post were "depression" and "feel like dying". Fortunately, I then proceeded to read your post in its entirety and realised how out of context I was!
You seem to be very image conscious - glad you have found a unique image that represents your identity. I feel long hair is a part of my identity too and without it there is something missing in my life. Mind you I haven't had very long hair before, it always varies in longish length, but this time is the real deal.
We all know what happens when people die their hair....
It's your hair and your decision, but I advise not to do it.
