I am trying to find testimonials regarding the use of Biotin...some say it works wonders as far as rapid hair growth while others say it isn't worth any amount of money...what do you say?
Yes. Two words. SNAKE OIL !!
Is that assertion based on personal experience, how did you come to that conclusion....
I'd say save your money. I tried it for 6 months and averaged 2/3 inch a month growth. I stopped taking it last spring and I still get exactly the same growth rate and my hair is still healthy.
Why not take a general multi-vitamin supplement that contains a bit of Biotin?
=======
B vitamins (of which Biotin is one) gotta be taken as a group to work well. If ya take lots of one vitamin without the others, its effect will be greatly muted.
Just take a decent multi-vitamin with what's called "B-Complex" and you'll be just fine. Read the label, look for the B vitamin section and check for 25 mg or more of most of the B vitamins, and you'll be fine. Manufacturers usually formulate 'em together pretty well. Centrum is pretty good . . . probably can rummage around and find its generic equilavent cheaper. But for sure, if you get just Biotin, you're wasting your $$$.
