I have taken a contract in Central Iowa which will have be here for about two months and I have spent the past week doing a great deal of meetings and shopping in the Des Moines area.....I have yet to see ANY guy with long hair.....hmmmm. Yet no one has reacted to me negatively, so maybe I will be OK.
Had to cancel drilling today due to high wind, heavy snow and low temperatures.....-15F right now ! Brrrrr (glad I have long fur to tuck in my fleece hood. Ha ! Needless to say...grooming is out the window....going for the "NuttiDave Look". Frizzied Fotos to Follow...

Shopping?
What? Did you forget to pack your Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirts and Sunglasses?
Tisk tisk.

I'd wondered why I've never been to Iowa!
Hi Walter,
Brrr, it really does look cold there, and in fact, a lot colder (and snowier) than here in Nova Scotia, where the temp will actually be slightly above freezing today, and there is not really too much snow at all. I have heard about all those storms paralyzing the USA.
Enjoy that job, hope the weather improves, and I will be looking forward to more photos!
Take care,
David
OH MY GOSH!... Look at all that white stuff!I give you credit Walter taking on those elements so hopefully the pay is good.I'll certainly be looking forward to you "on location"hair pics:)Stay warm my friend.Cheers
Mark
Best of luck Walter... hope you fare well through the white stuff.

Welcome to the frozen north. Almost the same pic as I see out of my frosty window every mornin. Dress warm, [hint long underwear]
We've got about 2 feet over here in hagerstown with another 10-20 expected today and tomorrow. School keeps getting canceled (which is a bad thing for me right now, seeing as I want to be with people and don't have a car). I do find it funny as hell, though, that they cut 90% of the funding for snow removal this year, and its the first in like 5 winters we've actually gotten enough snow to need snow removal. Ironys a bitch.
What snow? We here in Upstate NY have missed storm after storm. Burlington VT had their biggest back in January, and now south of here is getting clobbered. After the little bit today, I'm still seeing bare fields. The downside is that we've been getting arctic cold. Makes me want to go outside and scream WHAT *** GLOBAL WARMING!?! (not to start arguments). Warm sounds good right about now. I'm also down to my last 5 bags of wood pellets from the skid I bought back in December.
