I'm doing the sten (a chemical treatment that makes me have straight hair) every 4 months. When i go for the 3rd month i get this fuzzy/dry and a weakcurly (not curly, not straight) hair.
What to do?
The iron straightner isn't good and i don't know what to do with this hair, i want a quite straight look and i want a-bit greasy hair.
Thank you.
(I also know that the problem stems from the medium length that makes my hair puffy)
Need help :( pls reply
I guess you mean the Sten described at http://primarilycolor.com/TECHNICAL.htm I've never heard of it before. Apparently it doesn't work as well for you as in the description.
The best way I know to straighten hair is to use straightening gel and a straightening iron. This Redken product is an example of the gel: http://www.redken.com/products/styling/mild-control/sheer-straight-06 You also need a true ceramic straightening iron, which can be expensive. The gel provides some protection for your hair from the heat of the iron. You use the iron after putting on the gel, and try to use the least heat necessary.
You may want to straighten your hair that way for a special occasion. But besides being a lot of work, using a straightening iron frequently risks damaging your hair. I'd recommend you try to find a style that works for your natural hair, or maybe your natural hair with some styling products that are harmless and removed by shampooing.
