Found this site a few months ago & really like it! Just thought I'd post a picture of how I wear my hair these days. I found a claw clip & I really like how easy it is. I wonder what people think of it. My hair's halfway down my back. I just got out of the tub an hour and a half ago in this picture. It takes about a half a minute to put it up this way, and it stays up ALL day. I like it so much better than elastic bands. I've got pictures of my hair down on a stick drive, but it's not with me right now.
Welcome to the MLHH John! That's a really cool picture. You will find lots of support from this site. You should definitely get those pictures of your hair down on here as soon as possible, I'm sure it looks awesome!

All of the pictures are amazing, the hair, the gardens the lushness and bright greens. This from someone who still has snow and now mud. LOL
Thank you very much. I have to agree. I love it here. Seattle's like a different country, a friend of mine from Chicago said.
- I have a youtube page with more stuff of my gardens & cats if you're interested. It's -

Thank you mark. Nice to make your aquaintance. Yes, I am pleased with my achievement. An achievement based more on what I don't do than what I do. Heh. And an achievement in withstanding the confines of socity, though I must say it's infinitely easier on the West Coast where I am now, than back East, where I lived 20 years ago.

Your hair is gorgeous, John. Welcome to MLHH.
Scott
- Thank you so much!!!!!! That really made me smile. I really needed that.
Hi Luke,
Welcome to the hyperboard, and thank you for sharing your photos. Your hair is outstanding, and I hope you plan to keep up with the growing!
Keep it growing,
David
Thank you very much. I appreciate that. ;p Nice to make your aquaintance.
I usually wear my hair in a bun...right in the shower...One ponytail, then twist and wrap the hair around, then another band to secure it...
Can you show what the claw clip looks like?
David
- Yes. ( smile ) You don't know the good this is doing me! ;p Well, maybe you do! - I don't use elastic anymore, but might again occasionally. I have a HUGE claw clip I use in the tub when I'm soaping my sholders & body. I gather it like for a ponytail, then twist, pull up, then fold in half & clip. Another half minute to do. When I'm ready to sit back down, The clip comes out so easy. Then after I comb it out the last time in there, I put it up again to rinse just my body without messing my hair, to get all those loose hairs off my sholders, etc. The huge clip is about 4 inches long. ;p Heh. Like a geisha! ;p
Ok, cool.
Where can you get this clip?
David
- David, I just saw them tonight in Target when I was buying workboots. It's a little embarassing, but what are you going to do? - they're in the womens hair accessories section, with the colorful barettes & teenage stuff & all that! Lol. But they don't exist in a mens section. The good thing is if you search around, you can find rather masculine looking ones, black, or low toned, simple chuncky shapes. It's just a claw after all. They're not espically masculine or feminine at their basis. I thought the very tiny ones would be less noticable, but when I got them & put them in, it looked like something a 12 year old girl would wear! So I'd say not too big, not too small, but the choice is yours of course. I like the amber color of mine. It looks natural; goes with my hair. Two of my friends didn't even notice it. They have other things at Target or Bartells like bobby pins but in that same amber plastic, and look like the artifacts found in ancient Pompeii, and I tried them, but they don't work as well. They fall out, and take more time. I've seen guys in Seattle here just use bobby pins too. Still though, I think the clip is the fastest and surest. I see south sea guys here, like from Samoa or thereabouts, with their hair in huge messy buns, and I didn't think it looked wierd at all. They looked teriffic that way. Some guys can just pull it off. I even saw a young gay guy with long hair in the gay neighborhood once at a restaurant with a BIG claw clip in, and It really wasn't that bad. It just made him look Japanese to me. But not really like a girl, cause he didn't look like a girl to begin with.
Ok, great, thanks for the info.
I'm in Canada, so there's no Target, but I have seen some at the pharmacy, so I will start experimenting :)
David
- Glad to hear it! ;p Have fun!
