A guitar playing buddy of mine had very long hair, down to his waist, and cut it off about 2 years ago. He never grew it back out very long and ended up getting a buzz last July for his wedding. He's decided to grow it back out after the wedding. He's got 6 months on me, but we've created a hair growing alliance to encourage each other through the rough spots. I just wish I had started growing when he did instead of 6 months later. Oh well, hair under the bridge as it were.
Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that I've got a local growing partner for the journey.
Hi KevinV,
I definitely agree that it's really cool to have a growing partner like that! However, it's always wise to keep in the back of your mind the fact that other individuals can sometimes suddenly surprise us by changing their mind without ever forewarning you. Hopefully this will not happen in your friend's case, and we'll maybe even see a happy ending pic with 2 impressive manes posted here someday...
In any case, good luck, and happy growing!

Thanks, Ken.
I really don't see him changing his mind, but if he does, that's part of the support I'm here for...to get him back on track and away from the shears. If he goes overboard, I'll just go it solo from there.
Haha. I use to have almost shoulder length hair and then cut it, and one of my friends always berated me for that decision. So I convinced him to grow out his hair himself, and I am attempting to do the same thing. So I am basically in your position, I think it'll be pretty helpful actually. :)
