Today marks 8 full months into this process from buzzzzzed (1/4 inch)! Some might say I have reached the "awkward stage", but to me it has been the awkward stage from the 2nd month lol. I don't mind it though. Back in high school I had about 9-12 inches in length easy, but that was almost 15 yrs ago. I cut it during my junior yr and have kept it very short ever since (an inch at the longest). I'm going for about 12-18 inches. All I do is shampoo every day (I have been blessed with a very oily scalp) and condition about every 3 days. No blow drying and usually minimal to no styling products.
Hi Jay,
You have a very nice head of hair to work with -- very full & shiny, and also looks quite thick, as well as very straight (which is the easiest to grow long)
Keep up the good work, and.... Welcome to MLHH!!!

Thanks for the compliments Ken. It is thick & straight. Some days are different though. Often times the ends do this weird curly thing for no apparent reason haha. One difference though, is that I am taking better care of my hair now than I did when it was long before. Then, I used to blow dry nearly every day which completely fried & split the ends right to hell. Don't want to go through that ordeal again!
Looking great so far, man! Keep on growing and to me your hair looks very good and not akward at all.

Andrea,
Thanks man! Appreciate it! Its been a while since I went through the "grow out" stage. I really don't remember it much. I will say though, I'm not really minding it haha.
JayKus, Looking good! You are definitely on your way!
peace, jonalbear
Thanks jonalbear. I'm getting there sllloooooowwwwly but surely!
Hi JayKus,
You hair looks great so far and your goal will look fantastic on you. What made you decide to regrow your hair after a 15 year absence? That's a long time to be away from a long mane but I'm glad to hear you want one again.Hopefully you will keep it beyond 15 years:)Cheers
Mark
Thanks Mark. You're right, it is a long time indeed! I kicked around the idea of regrowing for a few yrs now and just decided after a haircut one day, what the hell! Haha Who knows, the way I feel right now, I probably won't cut it for another 15 yrs (or ever lol).
Cool man. You'll be shoulder length before you know it.
Way to go Jay! Welcome back and good luck.
