Hi everybody!
I've been lurking for a while, and feel it is time to make a post.
Short intro:
My name is Sebasthian, I'm 20 and Swedish. I found this board when searching for a way to trim my hair to make it easier to handle. I have since decided not trim it and instead try out some of the various advise that can be found here and through the links section.
My hair is currently ~45cm long, and I'll let it grow a bit more, without a set goal length though. I've been growing it for just over four years, and am very pleased with that.
This board seems to be inhabited by a nice bunch of people. You have encouraged me to start experimenting more with my hair and try out new things. Next up is braiding, so please wish me luck!

...and a hearty welcome to the MLHH. Thank You for that wonderful introduction and testimonial. We are glad you are here and look forward to following your progress.
Your hair is phenomenal with a beautiful colour and texture. You obviously have taken wonderful care of it.
Thanks for Sharing

Vargen, Wonderful long hair!!! Welcome!

Thought I'd include a picture of me from the frontside. It's not very good, but anyway...

Welcome to MLHH, Sebasthian!
Thanks for the nice introduction to you in your first post, as I know everyone here appreciated it, myself included! This is a great place to learn about things like different hair care routines, hair products, experiences, and to talk about various different issues that longhairs have to deal with in life.
Whether the discussions vary from as simple as trimming VS not trimming, to occasionally heated political debates, MLHH is only as boring as the latest shampoo posts (LOL).
And then there's always our never-ending updates -- we LOVE to see hair growth here!!!
Speaking of which... your mane looks OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Again, Welcome to MLHH, Sebasthian!

Hi Vargen
Welcome to the hyperboard, and what a truly outstanding mane you are blessed with! Your hair is perfectly straight, so it should be easy to grow it a lot longer.
Welcome aboard,
David
Hi Sebasthian
Your hair looks great. Very nices shines and beautyful colors. Do you usually wear it open as you showed it in your first pic?
Also, it is very straight. Do you straighten it or is it naturally so straight?
Anyway, congratulations and welcome :)

Btw. I'm looking forward to some pics with braids and stuff. Good luck!
Thanks!
Up until now I have tied it up in a ponytail pretty much every day. I might consider wearing it open, among other styles I want to experiment with. I think I might have to do a list of styles to try out, hm...
My hair is naturally completely straight, not even the slightest curl at the ends. It flew around all over me before gravity got ahold of it to keep it in place.
Welcome to the board!
You have very beautiful hair, keep up what you're doing, and enjoy your stay here! ^_^

Hi Sebastian,
Welcome to out community here and thanks for sharing your pictures with us. I have to say you hair is such amazing condition and a beautiful colour and sheen as well. A great inspriation to our fellow longhairs here.
As Peter says I know where that symbol on your t-shirt comes from.
Good luck with the braiding and we look forward to your next update and don't we have a very good resident braiding expert.
Cheers,
John.B
I mean't to say what is your hair care routine, products etc.
It's always nice to see people recognize it, I like it quite a bit.
I don't have a solid hair care routine down yet, a couple of weeks ago I was still stuck in the old routines from my short-hair-days. Then I found this place.
Now I've reduced shampooing, started to let it airdry after washing and I am at least finger combing it a bit every day. The result is seen in my first picture. I'll continue to try things out for a while, I find it rather fun. Feels like I'm exploring unknown lands, heh.
I'm willing to bet your mane looks great with a nice big braid down the back.

Your hair is gorgeous, Sebastian. It looks perfect. Either your hair grows slowly or you have had multiple trims along the way. Hair usually grows about 15 cm per year. If you are trimming every few months, you may want to stop that. That will let you reach a good braiding length in much less time.

Thanks Scott!
Yes, I think my hair grows a little slower than average. I had a couple of trims early on, due to pressure from family and such, but I don't think I lost more than ~6-7cm (it's so long ago that I hardly remember...) Now I haven't stepped foot in a salon for at least 2.5 years, and I won't anytime soon.
