For once, I'll NOT flap my mouth in the breeze and bore everyone with my mega-comments, proving that once in a rare while I can avoid being as long-winded as I usually am!
Here's me as a "flasher" (thank goodness it's only G-rated - LOL)....

New hair length goal:
to be able to hold onto my hair and straighten my arms without ripping the hair out of my head!
Hi Ken!
Good to see you actually posting an update!
You should get an award for being "the most replying man on mlhh", with long replies on almost every post on this board =)
Anyway, your hair looks great! Nice texture and waviness.
Personally I like the white fringe that matches your beard =)
Good luck with your goal length!!

Like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, sightings of the elusive Longhaired California Grey Whale are rare. I felt very lucky to be able to capture this shot of him, because unlike other very rare and endangered whale species, this mammoth specimen lives on dry ground more than in the ocean (although you can see by his damp hair that he recently just swam out of the shower)...
If any of you happen to be visiting the West Coast of North America, especially near the San Francisco Bay area, be on the lookout for this strange creature; but if you spot him, please don't shout it out too loudly, "Thar he blows!"
Here's me w/ my sweats pants on, staying overnight where I work during the weekends; but I miss being in my own bathroom, as well as my cats when I'm away from home... Oh, well, at least my hair comes along with me wherever I go!
Looking in the mirror recently has become such a frightening and traumatic way to wake up in the morning that I've now decided to only look at the back of my head... Thank goodness for having long hair, as looking at my mane in the mirror is a much gentler and less terrifying way to start off the day than the traditional American method of having to look at my face!
Lookin' like you have been enjoying the carbohydrates as much as I.
Interesting comments. May I make a suggestion that being currently immobile you could start writing a book about hair using your hair-warped philosophy on the brain.
Duncan
Hi Duncan,
Fortunately, I'm no longer completely immobile at this point in time; just still having to take it easy. Doctor's orders were to not work for 7 - 10 days, which was way back in early Feb. (due to a torn lateral ligament). But I'm a lot better now -- just spending too much time on the hyperboard (LOL)!!
The only problem with writing a book is that I'm way too lazy... which is why I like coming here!
Anyway, thanks for the compliment, Duncan! Take care, and I hope your Southern Hemisphere autumn is treating you well this month!
- Ken
As opposed to I see dead people, well....I see them as well.
I looked over the other pics (once the spots went away) and your hair's fab for a man of 29 years.
Sadly no pics in the wind, I'm so disappointed.
Kevin
As long as you're not seeing spots ON dead people, then your neighborhood is at least leprosy-free...
Thanks! Please don't tell anyone, though, that I'm actually a tiny bit older than that; yet still in my late 20s, of course (as in, very VERY late late late late late 20s)!!!!!
Hey, chin up, Kevin, no worries: as soon as I can untie this white jacket they put me in, or maybe if they let me outdoors for a minute or 2, the very first thing I'm gonna do is take my favorite kind of pics, bringing along my outrageously expensive Parisian hair-stylist, of course, Pierre Le Wind!
Never thought of as long winded Ken, I always enjoy your posts. Photos look great.
Ken;
Great photos !! and while I disagree with the self degradation, your comments gave me the giggles..
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
hair looks great!
Nice flash!
I am blind...someone help me on my way!
Cheers,
John.B
I should have forewarned you to put on your dark sun glasses!
Hi Ken,
How good to see an update from you, and your blonde, wavy mane looks fabulous, a true inspiration! I like the creativity in your photos as well. I hope all is well with you.
I know I am long overdue for an update of my own, and should slap one up here soon.
Take care, and keep it growing!
David
Other than recovering from a silly knee injury, I'm doing fine, thanks! Also thank you for your kind comments!!
Yes, you definitely should -- and looking forward to seeing it when you do!!!
You, too, David!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
Well done Justin!
Well.........I try to please when I can. (Blush.)
Hey Justin,
You forgot to draw in my beard & mustache! I was indeed smiling when I took that pic, though -- if not actually smiling on the outside, I was for sure smiling on the inside!
- Ken
Nice to see an update from you. It looks very nice and the two colors give it something special.
Thanks for the picture Ken! I really like the length of your hair. Your smiles are better than mine LOL!!
Luke.
Thanks, Luke; but are you referring to Justin's "artistic interpretation" of my smile, or the real one? (LOL)
- Ken
Nice to see your mane Ken. You have such a great mix of colors and texture! I think we're both in the same boat now as we're still slowing getting more length. Your hair is longer than mine however.
Thanks, Jason! As far as length goes, if you've ever seen my silly hair pics from my web site, those photos were taken by Bill in Feb and/or March of '04 (like my avatar pic, for example). Considering the fact that I've only had 2 or 3 professional trims in the past 6 years --- and each trim only being that of 1 inch or less taken off -- you can see how slo-o-o-o-owly my hair grows... So, I'll bet you'll pass me up in no time!
Thank you for showing us your true face "Ken". I always had the fleeting feeling that God was a member of this board. Coming back to earth in the body of a gay man was just your way to get away from those pesky intolerant long hair hating fundamentalists who drove you out of their churches years ago. Now I know that the dazzling light of brilliance is your true face God. (aka as Ken) Thanks for designing us humans to have long hair. Your brilliance shines through. Amen.
Duncan
Hi Duncan,
Now that's an interesting interpretation that I've certainly never heard before... Considering how lazy & fat I've become, if anything were true in what you just said above, I'm not sure I'd want to even attend My Own Church (LOL).... "God" would need to get his act together and get on a diet real SOON in order for me to become a true "believer" in even "Myself" (LOL)!!!!
Anyway, I much appreciate the compliment, Duncan; although God might be feeling a bit insulted right now (LOL)....
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
However, I am a firm believer that God must be giving us His sacred nod of His full approval for long hair to be on men -- otherwise, we wouldn't be able to grow it!
Hi Ken. Your hair is looking nice, and I like the waves near the ends of the hair. I know you are trying to show off, but the camera flash does make it harder to look at your hair. Luckily, you have added in several more photos of your hair that I can clearly see.
Matthew
What an amazing update, Ken. I can only hope that my hair looks as good as yours when I hit age 29 in five years (haha!)
-Dan H.
Thanks, Dan! And the great thing about turning 29 is that you can have many MANY "anniversaries" forever afterward... Just think about it: I'm already up to my 37th anniversary of my 29th b-day.... How cool is that?!! (LOL)
- Ken
Oh dear Ken with I will have to think about doing another "nth" update in the next 10 years!
I'm sure I can hook you up with a good photographer.
Thanks I pay will and of course extra for the airbrushing!
Well, just don't wait too long, or your hair will be at Danny Cecati's length by then... and then we'll be REALLY mad at you for not updating sooner!
Hi Ken,
Your sense of humor as well as your awesome mane is what makes you such a special guy Ken:)I'm so glad to see your "fresh" update pics since I've missed those ever since you got busy with your current job. However I was ever so fortunate to see that mane and person in real life six short months ago which I was so honored to have finally accomplished.Looking forward to a repeat:)You must have had a burst of energy this morning to pull off the photo op!LOL.Well done my friend.Cheers
Mark
Hey Mark,
And just know that it was equally an honor 6 months ago for me to meet you, too!! I'm greatly looking forward to a repeat as well -- so, hurry on out here (LOL)!!!!
As we both talked about at one point, even though both of our manes appear to be growing ever so slo-o-o-o-owly at this current length (if not actually near or even at terminal), at least the fact that it's not shrinking gives me some comfort!
- Ken
----------------------------------
Your hair looks good Ken. It looks really thick and full in the other photos.
Hopefully you, me, Bill, and a few others can organize a long hair meet this year.
Scott
Thanks, Scott!
I'm replying from the computer at where I work in Castro Valley...
Yes, I'd love to do a longhair meet up this year -- it's been a long time since I've seen you!!
Thanks again,
Ken
Excellent update Ken! Your blond mane is an inspiration.
Bruce
(I happen to enjoy your inciteful commentaries btw,so please don't stop!)
Thanks for the kind comments, Bruce!
It's also great to hear from you again, as I noticed you've been rather quiet lately; but hey, I go through the same thing... I get busy w/ work and other things, and occasionally even get too busy to even lurk; then I come back and can't stay away... It's a vicious circle!
Take care!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
Every year at tax time, I tend to get too fried and hassled trying to catch up from a year of procrastiation. Then it's hard to get out of the lurking habit. (Gee, if I jump in here and comment, shouldn't I go back a few days and comment on those also!?) Oh well, sometimes you just have to jump, feet first.
Bruce
Ken!
Urban Cowboy!
My friend :-)
You are looking amazing! I haven't seen any of your hair pictures since late 2007, so I feel like that proverbial Auntie who pinches her nephews cheek saying how tall he's grown.
i.e. hair is longer than I recall but still looking great as always.
I've probably looked into the board maybe 5-10 times over the last few years but have been meaning to post an update for those who remeber me. I decided to do that now when I saw your recent Pic thread and decided to write here first.
I'm so glad you're still around buddy.
All the best :-D
Ken, your pictures always surprise with something new :)
You have wonderful long hair. Thanks for sharing!
