Hi guys,
on tuesday I made it 3 weeks without washing. I think it's really oily now but I don't have to get out so no worrying.
My hair is now next to the mid of my butt and I really think I'm going to get classical length at the end of the year.

nope - I comb every day and it doesn't get itchy. But I see the volume loss and how the braid gets extremely thin after not washing.
But I'm really looking forward to the shampooing on tuesday :-P

Your hair looks super, Dusk. From what I see, you have about 20cm to go to reach classic length. (bottom of butt top of thighs)
At a growth rate of:
15cm per year you will reach it on August 2011.
16cm per year you will reach it on July 2011.
18cm per year you will reach it on May or June 2011.
20cm per year you will reach it on April 2011.
22cm per year you will reach it on March 2011.
I included your black and white image with reference lines added. Save it for comparison. Hair usually grows at about 15cm per year, but I included estimated times to reach your goal length at faster rates as well.

That's some great hair. Definitely something to be proud of! My hair looks that oily after 6 hours. Lol. Be sure to keep that awesome mane growing!
Dusk, you have the most awesome mane a guy could dream to have.The length and fullness is fantastic.I know that there is no way I could pull that off not washing that long as after the second day my hair looks horrible if I don't wash it and I have similar hair to yours.You must be lucky not having to go out for three weeks with unwashed hair.Great pics my friend!Cheers

Thanks, my friend - but it's just practising. Get away from sharp tensids in your shampoo and start thinning it - your scalp will oil less if you start going on like that, not cleaning it completely every time it starts getting oily and you will have to wash less often. Years ago I had to wash my hair every day but now after 5 days my scalp just looks a bit oily.

Yeah - and it is also not healthy. I'd rather run around with oily than with splitty hair.
Thanks anyone. I just can advise to thin your shampoo with water and use more mild ones without sodium laureth sulfate - google for mild shampoos with sugar tensids. You will have to wash less often if you hold it.

3 weeks is long, for sure. I don't go that far; I think 1,5 week is my extrem limit, after there's no way my hair can look good no matter what I do.
The funny thing is that I just spend an entire week with 7 other friends, "on the road", and I saw them (at least girls with rather longuish hair) washing their hair every day. I was just wondering that it would feel quite strange to explain them my hair routine : washing it with water once a week =)
Dusk, you seem to be very radical concerning your hair.
How long did it take you to go from daily washing to weekly washing?

Yeah. I think it didn't took too long, I just started shitting on everybody's meaning and stopped washing daily. Might have taken about one year. :)
