Hey all,
Dumb question I know, but I smacked the top of my head on a cabinet pretty hard today and have a nice bump on it now. I was wondering if this kind of thing will damage or kill hair follicles? I don't need to lose any hair in this spot!!

I've never lost more than a few hairs when I whack my head into stuff, so I wouldn't worry too much...as long as you avoid abrasions, etc. your hair should be OK.
Im not sure about folicles...but I do know it's messed up many of my brain cells.

A bump, I don't think that would kill a follicle, maybe the extra blood may help. But stitches on the scalp can leave a bald spot and change the way hair grows around that area. It has on my head.
