Hey all!
All you metalheads out there know Amon Amarth is currently touring the U.S.! Just thought Id share a pic of me while I was there I had an amazing time they were awesome! Big fan thats why I have bracers on :)
They are one of my favorite bands. I've seen them twice live and they put on a great show. I love their latest album.
I'm planning on seeing them when they come near me. I'm also actually listening to Twilight of the Thundergod right now.
Awesome! I haven't been to any shows since BOC in 06. But Im seein Cage The Elephant next month, and Warped Tour this summer, and whatever else I happen to fall into.
I've moved more past my heavy metal years (3-15) and regressed into blues based rock (Black Crowes, GnR, Free, Aerosmith, Slaughter, Cinderella, AC/DC, stoner metal, punk, grunge...)
Just needed something with some deeper lyrics and more sleazy snarl. Thats not to say I won't listen to really heavy stuff every now n then. But overall I got bored with speed and fell in love with the grove. Plus my guitar playing suit blues better. And its easier to sing with my really low, half tone deaf voice.
Oh, and the hair looks dirty and unkempt and natural and awesome! Just the way it should be in that situation :)
Going to get my tickets for the Toronto show on Friday!
Glad they came back after their last (awesome) tour. Always a great live band
