Just kidding!!! (Sorry, I bet you were about to freak out!)
I decided I did need a hair cut after all, but I decided to just get three inches or so cut off, and once again had long layers put in, which really helps emphasize the curls and keeps them from 'balling up' at the ends. Those of you with curly/wavy hair probably know what I'm talking about.
I'm really satisfied with this length. It's lighter, more voluminous, curlier and more manageable. I don't like it when my hair gets too long, it gets heavy and straightens out the curls and becomes flat, so this is a nice change for me. The only negative is that the front tends to fall out of my ponytail, but that's okay because I shouldn't need to keep it back much anymore.
For comparison check my last post, it has a picture I took a day or two ago, before the cut. Also to compare how long it was a year or two ago, before my last drastic cut which took it back to approximately shoulder length:
Very nice solution, it's all about finding a style you like and that doesn't have to be superlong like in your last picture.
I can relate to your feelings, I'm sometimes thinking about changing my hairstyle but haven't got the guts to do it and most of the time after while I like it the way it is.
I still have the original layers (not a single haircut) though so my curls come out very well but the longer it get's the less noticeble like you say.
At some point I will probably do the same as you, but before that I will grow it some more.
Your hair looks good like this. I am glad you did not cut all of it off. Although maximum length is my goal, this is probably not the goal for the majority of people at MLHH. It is best to maintain a length that you are comfortable with. I do admit that your hair looked fantastic in that photo of you sitting at the piano. I also realize that it was probably difficult to maintain at that length as well.

It probably will be for me too. Right now I'm sayin lower back, belt, or classic. But I know I'll probably want it longer when I get to that length.
I concur.
Peace love and hairyness to all,
Jarvis
The long ponytail as well as the shorter style both suit you in my opinion, so you have the best of both worlds.
I hope youre happy now :)
The long ponytail is an excellent look for you. Your hair flows thickly and the tail looks great, unlike some on this site with a tail that looks thin and sickly. How great that you know you can look great with either length. I say, grow it!
AAAIIIIEEEE! Oh no you didn't!
Whew! You really didn't. You had a lot of us worried - you were on the brink.
Glad you found a compromise - it still looks great - but I confess I liked it longer, because it looked great and because I envy your hair type. Now settle down and enjoy your hair and your membership in the select and distinguished fraternity of longhairs.
A pianist?? You HAVE to have long hair! It's a tradition! There HAS to be some correlation between long hair and creativity.
You are a rotten kid, Brazol ! Ha!
Glad you found a length that you are comfortable with....and it looks good on you.
Keep in touch
Walter
I'm glad you found you way. Truth is not easy to see and it's so easy to misinterpret our feelings.
(Sorry, I bet you were about to freak out!)
Yea... I was lol. I typically annoy the hell out of people when I see they got a haircut.
Anyway... Glad you didn't cut it all off. The new length looks good. The piano shot looked awesome, but I'm sure thats not easy to take care of with curls (I have almost perfectly straight hair so I've no experience with that)
Peace love and hairyness,
Jarvis
Brazjol, you little devil you!Had me going until I got to your message.Don't sweat it as everyone here has their own personal goal in regards to length.I'm with Scott though as I'd want mine as long as it can get which I think is where its at now.If it is I'm not complaining.Good luck with the new style and hope life starts looking up for you my friend:)Cheers
Mark

It is good to see that you didn't cut it short, short. Looks nice still. Great curly hair still. Thanks for posting, have a good one.
