...was released yesterday.
While the spectacular 3D effects are not on this release.....The Blu-ray version viewed on a decent HDTV, even in 2D, is crisp and clearly shows the wonderful world of Pandora in fine detail. Without the detraction of the 3D, more incredible special effects are revealed......
Soundtrack is also wonderful...listen to it loud on a good system...the bass will rattle your dentures...James Horner seems to have no limits in his musical creativity.

I come from a generation that did not have television...to see the level of entertainment that James Cameron has brought us is history in the making.
Got my copy (pre-orders are great!). Agreed none of the spectacular 3d effects, but I still enjoyed seeing it again.
Hey Walter,
I just got my copy today at Costco... in Blu-ray of course:)I loved this picture and consider it the ultimate longhair movie! It was a great story but the importance of longhair was apparent.Maybe we should take a poll on how many users here watched it in theater.I saw it twice!
Mark
Once!

I also saw it twice in the theater (IMAX 3D) ~Walter
I've never seen it.
..Awesome!

Once in the theatre and once at home but we have a home theatre so maybe I should say twice in the theatre. Only the second time I didn't pay a fortune for my popcorn and the floor wasn't all sticky.
It was brilliant on both screens.
