Hey guys, just wondering at how many months or maybe even years does hair start to not look so horrible in the morning? I'm at six months and my hair is straight on the sides and light curls on top (weird combo i know) so when I wake up in the morning the hair on the sides looks kinda crappy as expected but the hair on top is a frizzy mess with very tight curls (then when I soak it in water it is just lightly curly/very wavy for the rest of the day) Anyone else with wavy or very lightly curly hair wake up with really tight curls in the morning? I find it very annoying that only the top of my head is curly therefore only the top looks horrible in the morning. Damn this awkward stage.
I'm very new at this (just 7 months), but my hair is pretty wavy and I've realized that the way it looks in the morning has a lot to do with the way you brushed it the night before.
If you brush it with a thin toothed brush it will be frizzy, frizzy. You don't want that. If you comb it with the opposite, an afro pick, it will curl! (i don't know why, but that's my experience). If instead of that (i think your hair is pretty similar to mine) you comb it with a slightly wide toothed comb restraining your hair back the ears, it'll be alright the next morning: the only thing you'll have to do is to slightly moisten hair with cool water using the hands, and, after a few minutes, you would be able to loosen it with your hands, and it will seem pretty cool. If you want, then you can brush again, just to neaten up more.
By now, it works for me. If anybody sees any error in it, please report to me.
