Since the weather decided to finally warm up again here in the east I decided to venture into NYC Saturday afternoon to check out the sites and do some shopping just to help the economy. The one negative aspect early on was that NJ Transit implemented what I would call a severe rate hike starting Saturday. My normal fare went up $5 overnight for the round trip:(I'll admit I knew this and actually bought my tickets Friday night at the old rate.HeHe.
Well getting beyond that it was fun to walk around the city and yes, I did see longhairs about:)Straight hair, curly hair, dreads it was all there.Well I'd expect that with the volume of people around as it wasn't like I was in Wyoming.I proudly wore my hair in a nice segmented tale for all to see:)I liked seeing it swinging around as I saw myself in profile reflections from storefront windows.I was tempted to just let it go loose but I was afraid of getting tangles.lol.I would have loved grabbing a few pics but people just walk too fast in NY!
Well in a week I'll get to compare the longhair sightings from NY to those in San Francisco as I'm heading out for a weeks vacation there.I'm almost expecting to see the same result but you never know.So it will be a comparo of east vs west longhairs.Should be fun:)Anyway hope you all are having a nice weekend wherever you are:)Cheers
Mark
Hi Mark,
Yes the better weather has finally arrived and we've had better than average temperatures and warm days for the past 3 weeks and of course the ash cloud!
I'm enjoying a long weekend here and spent Friday at a beer festival in Reading and what a nice way to spend a day drinking ales and quite a few longhairs in the beer garden to.
But back to typical bank holiay weather here and it's got colder and raining cats and dogs!
Enjoy your holiday over yonder west side and let us know how that goes.
Cheers,
John.B
Looks like quite the friendly get together there John as it looks like them Ales did kick in:)Nothing like longhair and Ales...right?Sure looks like summer is here as it is by me right now. From 40s a few days ago to 80s today!Gotta love the east coast spring weather.lol.Cheers

Well, lessee...from my vantage point (at work) near the Ferry Building in SF last night...the longest I saw was classic length on a woman, and lower back/tailbone on a man. Lots and lots of long hair about...pretty busy...but then it was a warm Saturday night.
Well that's comforting to know and I would almost expect SF to be a mecca for longhaired men:)Don't know why but just think it would be a hair friendly place.New York did surprise me yesterday as the hair sitings were so plentiful that day:)Hopefully I might get the chance to see you while out west as I'm trying to set something up early in the week with other guys who live in the city.
Mark
Hey Mark,
Have no fear about your upcoming visit out West here, as longhairs can abound a-plenty, all a-flowin' & a-growin', just dripping with abundance like the Southern CA avocado and orange trees!
I've already notified our San Francisco mayor, Gavin Newsom, that you will be coming soon to the SF Bay Area -- and that you PLAN on seeing a whole dung-load full of longhairs during your visit... He said he will roll out the red carpet for you -- and that he will make it MANDATORY for all San Francisco males who currently have short hair to at least wear an appropriate-length longhaired wig while you're in town...
And if you believe the above story, I also have a great-looking bridge for sale (LOL)!!
All kidding aside, though, I think there are more longhairs out West here than I remember ever seeing when I lived back East...
In any case, looking forward to seeing you SOON!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken
Hi Ken,
Thanks for sharing that and you are showing what we all missing on the lower west side.
Don't forget you have the second meridan of time PST/PDT and also thanks to Bill sharing Stonehenge Mark II.
I know we have that naughty volcano with the funny name that we can't pronounce bellowing out all sort of ash and it makes it bit dicey to flap your wings over the pond. Are your local plates of the olde San-Andreas due for a wibbly wobbly soon!
I hope that mark enjoys his up and coming vacation with you.
Cheers,
John.B
Hey John,
Our local plates of the San Andreas are ALWAYS threatening to be due a big wibbly-wobbly -- or so the experts in the science of wibbly-wobbly say! I mean, what would life in San Francisco be like without living in constant fear of another major "shake & bake?" We try our best not to become too boring out here -- especially considering that we don't have any naughty ice-covered volcanoes exploding from nearby exotic islands (other than Hawaii - LOL)....
- Ken
Thanks Ken for giving the mayor a heads up on my arrival and I look forward to seeing all the REAL longhairs and the fake ones too:)I'd prefer the real McCoy though so I'll have to give them each the tug test.If they pop their lids well that's a fake one.LOL.Looking forward to meeting you guys next week my friend!Cheers
Mark
Not always
you will find men with all kinds of hairtypes here in this city. Most though in NYC aren't in it for any political slant.
