Hello, everyone.
You may have noticed I've been absent for a while, or you might have not even noticed at all; I've been really busy with work and school, back and forth, but I check here often as I can. Nevertheless, I'm back with an update. Nearing 4 years, here's my progress so far, voice your opinions if you wish.
Lately, things have been negative for me in the school and work place; I've been the target of abuse and teasing. A lot more than usual. I mind my own business, yet people, or ignoramuses, as they act, have the audacity to be totally rude and disrespectful to me because of my hair... I graduate high school in June, but it seems the ridicule will follow no matter where I am. What do you guys do to put such idiocy and teasing behind you?

Absolutely spectacular beyond belief! That is gorgeous long hair you have now and I would turn a deaf ear to this bunch of nibby insecure morons who have nothing better to do than ridicule.
Think of it this way: what have they done that is so great that you cannot do? In fact, YOU are the one with the mannors and are not out to destroy another persons individuality nor jeer at how they desire to wear their hair.
You are the adult. You tower. THEY are still in Goo-Goo's Sandbox. Ignor and I am sorry that with the problems facing all of us now that these teens cannot put their minds to better use.
You have nothing to be ashamed of. The ones that taunt you have EVERYTHING to be ashamed of.........but you know what? They do this because they HATE themselves. Pity them, speak kindly to them no matter what. Show them what a REAL HUMAN BEING is all about. You win and unfortunately these miserable infants have lost and been swallowed by the "Clone Society" who has their values so terribly screwed-up.
Once again.........magnificent long hair. Bravo!

Man your hair looks so great that anyone who looks at it is probably jealous, at least thats what I think when I look at those pictures. As for the abuse and the teasing, that sucks man, but what can you do but ignore them. I haven't been pestered about my hair since I left the awkward stage so I can't really speak from personal experience about how to deal with people like that effectively.

Do not allow getting bullied by classmates otherwise they'll get used to being allowed. I just ignored my class and they just ignore my hair just like at work. It's your hair and not theirs. Keep growing, dude.

Your hair looks amazing. Disregard whatever negative comments your peers have. They are judging you for going against the norm. It's unfortunate that people judge based on something so superficial.
I don't really get that much flack for my long hair at school, but then again, mine isn't nearly as long as yours.

Thank you for sharing this inspirational update, and I am blown away by your hair's thickness, shine, and A+ condition! I totally agree with Jason that your mane is among the best on the MLHH.
I am stunned by these idiots who are subjecting you to such petty comments, and I think these naysayers are secretly jealous. Ignore those hurtful remarks and keep that mane growing!

Sorry to hear that your surrounded by morons with nothing better to think about other than unkind things to say to people. I don't have any brilliant suggestions as to how to deal with them other than don't engage them as that merely empowers them even more. Always remind yourself as shitty as it may be people who fought the civil rights movement among others have had to endure far worse and it only made them stronger mentally and emotionally.
It can do the same for you although it may be difficult at times in the end you'll end up a far better person with a much broader perspective on life.
Now as for the hair, Damn! you have the hair everybody wants. It's virtually perfect. Norwegians and their descendants must have a really good hair gene.

Looks great! You seem to have the same hairtype and colour as me, only about twice as thick O.o I'm jealous...
Oh, and I pity your "haters". If they don't have anything better to do than rag on others their lives can't be very fulfilling. Focus on yourself and your goals and don't let them bring you down!

I put the idiocy and teasing behind me by moving thousands of miles away from it to live in the Northwest. I get the feeling you're in the East or Midwest. That s*** never stops there. If you were out west you'd get almost nothing but admiration - you look like a rock star; like the ones with REALLY good hair. The teasing isn't any falt of yours that's for sure.
You have really good quality hair man, I give you my respects :)

Hair looks really good. I prefer the straight cut in the back as opposed to the V shape, but it still looks great and isn't that noticeable at that length. As for getting made fun of, I've never had a problem with it. I really think it might just be the way high school is. Once you graduate I think it will completely stop. I get lots of compliments all the time, so I imagine the same will happen to you out of high school, since you've got great hair.

One of the good things about being a baby boomer is that, when I was in high school in the early 70s, I got compliments on my waist-length hair because that's what everybody wanted.

you def. have an outstanding, impressive and inspirational head of hair to which you should feel justly proud (I feel a wee bit jealous)
As for the teasing going on - Justin put it very well when he said that you are the adult and they the children - just rise above it all and maintain your grace - don't get dragged down to their petty level - and try to keep cool and don't respond the way they want.

You are the better one for not caving in, the others who harrass (and it is harrassment) are irrelevant.
First of all, your hair is absolutely magnificent. Secondly, regarding the negative comments you get from morons: some people are just morons and there's little that will change that. I honestly suspect that some people who may be taunting you are, in actuality, extremely envious of you because you do have such beautiful long hair, and it's quite likely that they would love to be you. Jealously is often masked by rudeness and uncomplimentary comments. Besides, you shouldn't let stupid comments from stupid people bother you or influence you in any way. Remember, you have something that they secretly would give almost anything to have . . . magnificent long hair.

Not sure if you remember the posts, but PaulKMF has listed some really good comeback lines for the negativity, stupidity, etc. I just usually try to ignore them, but when all else fails I try turning the negativity back on them.

WOW! I didn't realize your hair was past your belt man. It's seriously perfect, I wish mine was that perfect. I'm really surprised to hear that you get such a hard time. What state do you live in just out of curiosity? You're in high school right? I completely agree with Garth that it will stop once you're out of high school. College will be different man I promise.
In fact long hair seems to be coming back strong as a trend. Anytime I go to NYC there are tons of long hairs everywhere, even if its just shoulder-length. I think it's mostly just immaturity of preppy/jock a-hole none sense involved in high schools. Hang in there man.

The crap that you are subjected to now, may follow you, but my guess is that when you graduate people will see you in a different light, almost as if you are a different person. They will, by some miracle, treat you as a true adult, capable of your own decisions.

If I went to your school, I'd be slack jawed with amazement. The idiots giving you crap probably wish they had your hair. I just ignore their stupid comments, but if they really piss me off, I talk with my fists since my words don't do anything (but then again, when my temper's gone, I'm pretty violent), but I would advise against doing that because you're probably less of a hothead than I am. Just don't do anything I would do. Haha...
