As Mark has already posted, a few of us were able to meet last week. What a wonderful pleasure and privilege to meet some of the folks I've know for many years through the MLHH board. We had a great time talking over a fabulous lunch, then all drove up the coast to the hospitality of Urban Cowboy. Great day that went by much too fast.
I persuaded each of them to pose under the "famous" hat of the White Tail....Ha !
Enjoy !
Walter
Great set of photos Walter and to think, I had the privilage of wearing that most famous hat back in 2009 and it didn't fall apart! LOL :-)
Justin~
ps: Hope all is well in Victoria BC.
"...to think, I had the privilege of wearing that most famous hat back in 2009..."
Perhaps we should dig out the old photo???
Hi Walter,
What a great set of photos of all of you, and thank you for sharing them. One of these days, I hope to meet all of you!
Thank you for sharing,
David
"...One of these days, I hope to meet all of you!..."
We are all waiting for your loop of the U.S.
P.S. I'm on your side of the border in B.C. Lovely !!
Nice At!
Proper titfer that, innit?
(For those not born within the sound of Bow Bells, 'titfer tat' rhymes with 'at', of course)
"...Nice At!...'
Eh !
Such an honor to meet you for the very first time Walter and to think I even wore that famous hat!I hope the rest of your trip went smoothly as it sounds like quite a road trip.It would be cool to keep a log on where the most longhairs live when you travel like that.Anyway hope to catch up with you again in the future:)I know I will be back out your way.Be well my friend:)
Mark
"...Such an honor to meet you for the very first time...", also.
Just leaving Vancouver and headed south....should be home in a week or two....
The "Mad Hatter" strikes again in a wave of serial hattings!
Great photos. All of you look wonderful!

"...The "Mad Hatter" strikes again in a wave of serial hattings!..."
Thanks for that great giggle, Oren !! "serial hattings", indeed !
I enjoyed looking at all the hat pictures with different members :)
Looks like you guys had a blast and would like to meet you all one day myself!
"...Looks like you guys had a blast and would like to meet you all one day myself!..."
Yeah Mark, meeting MLHH folks is really great...hope you get the chance someday...
Kind of looks like your glowing a bit. Did you put Thorium in your Subaru?
...too many years working at the Nevada Test Site ??
Enjoyed seeing the photos under your hat. Great way to commemorate the gathering.
Yes indeed, Walter, the day went by all too fast; but what was interesting was that it felt more like a "reunion" kind of thing, than anything else -- go figure!
It was such a treat to finally get to meet you and actually talk to you, face-to-face & in-person! In some ways, the afternoon felt like a gathering of old friends more than like a meet-up of new ones... this has to be courtesy of, thanks to, MLHH, -- and what it's like to be a long-term participant there, don't you think? That's my feeling about it, anyway!
I hope that you will verify that I did NOT show off my "plumber's crack" while we were eating inside at Duarte's Restaurant & Tavern... We saved that for later, when we stopped at my sister-in-law's beach house, right? (LOL)
And also, now might be as good a time as any to tell everyone here that no, Scott did NOT bring us his dandruff-decorated computer keyboard into the restaurant, either... OMG, the rumors that can come out of just one innocent little MLHH meet-up event -- SHOCKING (lol)!!
Thanks again, Walter, for sharing your fun pics here with us! I was so depressed that my own camera was acting up that day; but obviously, thanks to you & Mark & Bill & Larry, the event was well-documented in photos, anyway.
"Onward & Downward!"
