Hi Guys,
I just saw this blurb on Excite, and wonder if it is true that the American Legend is without pigtails?

Sad day!

Thanks Scooper for the link.
Sad, but true.
Vacations do crazy things for people, and the media said he was just feeling like a change while he was in Hawaii.
Maybe, it was too much sun....

Oh My ....
I think I'm going to have to go listen again to "The Red-Headed Stranger" and then have a lay-down.

That is extremely disappointing. His hair was legendary. What on earth was he thinking?
Could have been worse, but a bit too page boy in my opinion.
Well that's shame he did that and had a great head of hair. As for his music style I don't care much for that! Can of worms!!!
Cheers,
John.
WOW, that is definitely big news, Daniel -- and I just saw him recently on TV (as a guest on The View, as I recall), where his hair was a little past his belt (he wore it down that day, but also had a cowboy hat on his head)... He cut it short once before, several years ago; but then grew it back right away, because his fans mostly wanted to see his hair long again.
His current length looks a little shorter than "shoulder-length"; yet longer than just "collar-length"... What the hell do you call that kind of length then? (Other than to use the word, "disappointing" - LOL)....
Nice to hear from you again, Daniel (even if it is because of this sad news)!

It's a shame, but it could be worse. At least he still has shoulder length hair.
My two cents worth on Willie Nelson is that after seeing the picture of his new shortened length pageboy hair trim is that he still has it long enough to do a small ponytail with. I think that Willie will probably grow it long again as the hair is his trademark and many of his fans love it. He hasn't gone totally short and at 77 he is amazing how long his length grew too. I am disappointed that he cut it but that is his decision to make and he is one of my inspirations to grow my hair long.

The picture I saw looked like he whacked it off while drunk. A hazard of using mind altering substances, perhaps?
One good thing about the change in his looks is that maybe, just maybe, less strangers will yell out to me on the street that I look like Willie Nelson.
I get that a lot. Also ZZ Top. The person always sees the resemblance in a positive light, but the comments can get tiring nevertheless.
One year I walked down to Castro Street on Halloween, not in any costume at all, and about two dozen people thought I had come in costume as Willie Nelson.
