Hi gents.
I cut it.
Well sort of. I have been frustrated with my hair for a bit now. Mainly because of damage and breakage. My roomate and friends all sort of said one day. "You're hair looks good long, but it's starting to get a little ratty"
So I went to my hair dresser (Who is excellent) Who refused flat out to cut it. Said she would add some style, and take some off of the back to blend in and hide the breakage.
So yes. I lost a good chunk of length, but in the end I have not gone to a buzz or anything.
I dont regret the move though, mainly because I feel better about the repair job and dont look at it as a hack job
That's understandable and are you still going for mid back! Perhaps you can post an picture for us.
Cheers,

Im still going mid back. Just have to make some better care decisions right now. It's in the growing phase again.
Ill post a photo as soon as possible.
"...I feel better about the repair job and don't look at it as a hack job..."
That is the important thing...you must be happy with your decision and yourself....
Looking forward to a photo.

Don't feel bad. It's my understanding that damaged hair has a tendency to damage adjacent hair (thus creating a nuclear chain reaction) and that it actually makes it better in the long run.
For exemple : I haven't cut mine in 4 1/2 years, and some ends are starting to get really bad, I'll be loping off between 1 and 3 inches. It can't hurt, all it does is slow down whatever length you desire to attain.
Well at least your hairdresser is respectful of your hairs length, so kudos to her for not hacking it short.Sounds like you made the correct decision based on the circumstances. It would be cool to see a pic of the job she did to fix your hair.A before pic would be nice too for the comparo.Gald your happy with the results.Cheers

How rare to find a stylist that refuses to cut. Agreed with others that a photo would be good to see. Glad you're enjoying your decision. I'm sure we all go through a I don't like this stage. I try to ignore it when that happens. Take care.
