Hey everybody !
As you may now, I lived in Norway during this year. Now, it's sadly the time to leave this great country to go back to France, where I am from. The year has been full of new experiences : I improved *a lot* my english skills (everybody here speaks english, norwegians or exchange students like me) and learn to speak norwegian (bokmål for those who know...It is one of the two official languages, among a lot of dialects, anyway very similar to swedish and danish), I did a lot of hiking, and cycling, and skiing. It also developed my independance. I made new friends from all over... the europe (not worldwide...). Yeah, it was a superb experience.
As I said, it's time to go back. And, *tadam*, *great announcement*, I will cycle from Trondheim to Oslo (500km) and then take the train. So, right now, I'm planning everything for this big travel across Norway and my room is still a mess =) I'm very excited about this trip. It should take about one week on the road. The trains I take after will lead me in some european cities to visit some friends (Munich, Innsbruck, Torino).
Now, about the hair. As you may remember, I discovered a bit more than one year ago a bald patch on my head. With some good luck, and a bit of treatment, it finally disappeared. That's good. I now have the ends of my hair at my belt. I mostly wear it in a long braid. The ends are quite thin, but I think it's still growing.
You can hopefully see a picture of me, from few weeks ago, hiking out in the norwegian nature. On my head, a kind of bandana, very useful for trips like this.
Thanks for reading! Bye
Vivien

Thanks Walter. Yes, I realize that I'm somewhat fortunate to live these things, but I also think that if someone overcome some "limiting belief", one is able to live similar things =)
What a great experience to have lived there. It must be a beautiful country and activities like hikes and skiing are a lot of fun. I love to vitis Normay to enjoy the nature.
Good to hear the bald spot is recovered!
Great experience indeed, Vincent. If you have some money to spend, go there and enjoy !
Hi Vivien,
It's great to hear you had such a wonderful experience in Norway and you've learned another language. I'm sure in the future you will want to visit there again as it's a lovely country and I have certainly enjoyed my trips there.
It's also great news to hear that you bald patch has cleared up.
I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip home to France in the next week.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks for the kind words, John. I have but visited only some parts of the country, and so far I love it, so I will come again !
That's really great photo. Congrats on your year in Norway and I'm glad it was good all around for you. Experiences like that you can draw from for a lifetime. We're all relieved to hear your hair issue is better, do you have to continue treatment to keep the patch from coming back?
Have fun on your bike trip through Norway and enjoy your trip through Europe visiting friends. John, myself and friends will be passing through Northern France on our way to Wacken in two months time. A meet up would be nice but you live in the South and we'll be traveling at around 01:00 to 02:00 in the morning.
Oh well someday our paths will cross.
Kevin
Thanks Kevin!
About the treatment, no I've stopped it few months ago.
Could be nice to meet, one day yes! There's a lot of countries I want to go, including US. I would also like to go to Wacken one year... maybe next year ?
I am just so happy for you Vivien you wouldn't believe. Glad you were able to have this experience and also glad to hear that the hair problem seems as if it has been resolved.
Have a safe trip home.
With all good wishes-
Justin~
ps: Hope you saw the house of composeur Edvard Grieg (1842-1907) and the little cabin nearby where he did most of his composing during the Summers.
Thank you Justin ! I hope all is good for you as well, and that the hair is growing well =)
Yes, I did visit the place ! in Bergen, on a cloudy day. I also the real-size statue of Grieg. He's small but still impressive.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Great nature photo of your hike. Safer journey back to France.
