I am a young lady from Australia and I have to say I found this board and read just about every post on here and I think it's really, really great to have support for long haired men. I am a HUGE supporter of men with long hair. I love it. I think it looks fantastic and very attractive on a man. I have always loved long hair, ever since I was a little girl. Seeing men with beautiful long hair, cut if all off, saddens me. A lot. I watch television shows and when a character cuts his hair and everyone is like "Oh, you look so much better, you looked like a hobo!" and all of that nonsense, I actually turn it off because I cannot stand it. My idol, Myles Kennedy of the band Alter Bridge (you probably haven't heard of them!) is incredibly talented, nice and successful. He has amazing long hair! I am actually jealous of his hair!
I think my love of long hair came from my dad. He had long hair my whole childhood life and only cut it about 5 years ago due to pressure from his girlfriend and friends. Even now he asks me if I think he should grow his hair, I always tell him yes. He is a bit iffy now because he is going a bit gray, I don't think it matters to be honest. It's his choice first and foremost and I don't think he should cut his hair just cause other people want him to. Sadly, this happened to my 13 year old brother as well. He had beautiful, shoulder length, curly brown hair, and from pressure from his mum and his older siblings (he's my half brother) he cut it all off. They cut it into a rats tail! No offense intended to people with rats tails, but either it's long or its short. Make a choice. Still I am trying to get him to grow his hair again but he said he can't deal with name calling and teasing. He was called horrible things such as "mop head" and "ugly chick". Enough of that.
I think I have ranted a bit too much, but again, I think its absolutely fantastic that there is a site to support men with long hair. I have looked at the photo threads and I must say, each and every one of you has rocking hair!

I listen to Alter Bridge a little bit. My favorite song by them is probably 'Blackbird'. Myles Kennedy is currently singing for Slash's band I'm pretty sure.
My dad used to have long hair too, and he cut it about 4 years ago.
I was definitely sad about that, but he's happy with it, so that's all that matters I guess.
