Hey My favorite band Is Iron Maiden. Every time I look at his hair in the past it was long and it fit him for his image when he played in the band. DOes anyone know how many years he grew his hair? Last time I seen him on MTV he had short hair. I have been growing my hair for 2 years from a military flat top to now. If I grew my hair for 4 more years and use the right shampoos and conditioners, what is the maximum length I can grow with out trimming my hair? I dont trust barbers anylonger. WIll Iron Maiden ever come back to the US on tour? I hope they do they are the best band in history

Its me again. Just wanted to say in my mind Bruce is a better singer than Ozzy!! Also Bruce should have never cut his hair, that was his mistake.
I toured with Iron Maiden back in the early 80s. My band was the opening act for them and the Scorpions on a leg of their tour.
Bruce was/ is a great guy! He is incredibly witty and funny as all he//. He's also very short! Hahahaha. Hard to believe, but Bruce is only about 5'5 or so.
I can't say how long it took him to grow his hair, but I do it was sort of long as far back as about 1979. By 1983 or so, he had the length you were used to seing him with. I"d guess about five years. I know he had routine trims and had multiple layers in his hair as well as bangs.
Anyway...just thought I'd let you know that you've picked a good band and a classy guy to admire. Bruce was always cool.

Yeah, if you look at their video "running to the hills" from 83 he already has very long hair. He had very long hair for most of the 80's and 90's but he eventually cut it and now, for the past 5 or 6 years he's been wearing it very short.
Bruce's hair was AWESOME when it was long! I was disappointed to see he has cut it. Oh, well. By the way I wanted mine cut like his when I was about 12... really long with bangs. My parents allowed it, for a while. Once it got to about shoulder length, I looked just like a 12 year old girl, and I was sent off to the barber ASAP!
