Hi. Along with your hair, what is your dress style? Rocker, hippy, grunge, casual, smart etc?
I am casual-grunge-rocker type. Along with this my hair really emphasises my interest in music and I am also a guitar player. I like going to rock clubs cuz everyone has long hair! its great, so whats your style?
James
My style of dress is hard to describe, I tend to dress outside the norm. I guess it could be best described as a gothic gypsy wench.
And usually all black, occassionally the mood will strike and I will wear a color, but NEVER anything pink or pastels.
Mari
Im not sure what style this is but normally a plain t-shirt, blue or black jeans and a blue plaid shirt. And, if the weather's right, a plain, neat-looking leather jacket. Sometimes the t-shirt has a band or artist on it. Occasionally Ill wear a black turtle neck if its cold. I think my dress style is mix of everything.
my style is contemporary "whatever's clean"- usually jeans & plain tee or sweat.
I don't know, I don't really think about having a style, i think it's kind of dumb to give yourself a certain style but that's just what works for me. But let's see I'm 17, I play guitar/drums/bass and I'm into alot of different types of music esp. Southern Rock, classical, 60's and 70's "hippie rock" and thrash metal but I like many more types. And I wear whatever I have available, if I'm going somewhere important though I do like to go for the very professional look.
Very conservative. Mostly Eddie Bauer (pants, shirts, boxers)
Normally a t-shirt (usually plain), jeans (fairly loose but not very), blue plaid shirt and black rectangular glasses. And if the weatehers right, a neat-looking plain leather jacket. Im not sure what style that is.
Hippie for me, but, sometimes, when out with the family, I do dress conservatively and rather casual.
When I'm alone, I'm typically skirted, but I don't try to pass as a female. In fact, the only thing that would be considered female would be the skirt, and it usually is a masculine-looking one.

Hi,I guess you could call mine "hillbilly hippie"
usally biboveralls,tie-dye t-shirt or flannel shirt
Chuck Taylors, Long Sleeve Flannel year round, blue jeans, band shirt (Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, Sabbath, etc) and I always let my hair hang down. I'm not much for ponytails.
"Start young, play hard, rock on!" -Gibson Guitars-
I don't dress very feminine or trendy. Regular blue or black jeans (I hate the current bell-bottom trend), plain black shoes, dark T-shirt (my favorite is my Suicidal Tendencies shirt.) Think camping clothes.
i guess i'm the exception here, but i am comfortable in dress shirts and ties...off times i'll wear jeans and turtle necks, sweaters, etc...definitley not a grunge, rocker, whatever. nothing wrong with that though.

For me it's either hippie or casual - always blue jeans and either a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt, or both. It's usually in the 60s here so a long sleeve shirt over a T-shirt is just about right for a guy with lots of insulation around his head. :-)
T-shirts can be just about anything, but black ones with some kind of image on them, or tiedyes, go well with my "look". I often throw on a bandanna, and when I do, it tends to match some color in my shirt.

Black T-shirts (usually advertising either a metal band or a good beer), flannel- unless it's super hot out, blue jeans, black work boots, and usually a black baseball cap. If I have a big meeting or whatever at work, I'll wear a dress shirt and dockers. I wear a ponytail at work, and only at work.
For work (teacher) I wear short-sleeved shirts--polos, golf, t-s, and cotton twill type pants--in the winter (not much of one in the deep south) maybe a flannel shirt and cords. When I am home, I like shorts and a t-shirt and Birkenstocks--almost year round. I am also a massage therapist, so the shorts and t-shirt and Birkenstocks is how I dress to work with clients. I wear my hair in ponytail at work, and down about half the time at home.

Being a "Bear" (a big, hairy, bearded gay man) - I tend to dress like other "Bears" - jeans, flannel shirt, big leather boots, leather braces (suspenders), leather vest etc... When the weather is warmer I wear a T-shirt, usually with a "Bear"-related graphic or logo. I wear my hair tied back. I even dress like this for work.
Sometimes when I go out for a dance - I'll go bare chested with just a leather harness and leather chaps. It tends to shock many of the younger clean-cut crowd!

I tend to dress to fit the occasion. Im a bar exam away from being an attorney so I dress rather conservatively for work (e.g., suit and tie if Im going to court, slacks and a sport coat if Im working in the office all day), but I try to update the wardrobe regularly and wear a lot of color so that I dont look too plain. Outside of work, Im as likely to be wearing shorts and a guyaberra as I am to be wearing slacks and a jacket.
If I'm at work, it's generally jeans and a T-shirt, as I have a "crawl over, under, and in" kind of job.
Otherwise, it's a Utilikilt and a large sleeved "Greek" shirt. Sometimes I wear a Utilikilt to work too.
Hair is worn in a "half ponytail" (More like a 1/16th or 1/32nd ponytail), and is bottom-of-shouldblade length.
Earrings - I'm nuts for earrings having 35 pairs presently. I'm single pierced in both ears.
Unlike many, I'm not at all into rock music, in fact I haven't even listened to 'soft' rock in many years, and the hard stuff I never tolerated. Classical and ethnic, esp. Greek and Middle Eastern.
I also try to present a neat and clean appearance at all times, even when I'm in jeans and T-shirt (which I don't really care for that much). I don't like "grunge".
OTOH, I'm famous for my strong dislike of suits and neckties, there are ways to look very nice and dressy without resorting to wearing suits and ties! If someone wants me to dress formally, I'll wear a genuine ethnic Greek Foustanella (Men's skirt) with all the "stuff" that goes with it!

I like soft shoes (black suede, birks or loafer type shoes), jeans, a plain t-shirt (usually black) or dress shirt, and something unusual to offset everything...like a frock coat. I wear my hair in a ponytail most of the time (because I finally can). I'm not really goth, but I'm pushing it at times. At work its just jeans and a tshirt with sneakers.

High!
My outfit: oscillating between rugged leather/flannel "grunger" type and weekend wannabe Afghan in shalwar-kameez (Afghan/Pakistani style baggy cotton pants worn under a knee-length shirt) and pakol (flat wollen cap with rollable brim, as worn mainly in Northern Pakistan and Eastern Afghanistan). Naked only when wallowing in deep black swamp mud ;-)
My music: 70s prog rock (Yes, Yes, Yes!!!), electronica (Vangelis, Synergy, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze), DEFINITELY NO contemporary BOOM-BOOM-BOOM danceflor crap!
See you in Khyberspace!

I try to appear kind of casual intellectual. Nice jeans and T-shirts. Probably less intellectual than I like to think.
at the workplace: professional (medical area)
at home: jeans and T-shirt, comfortable.
at hobby (caving):anything that works good underground. requests also a hard Hat and isnt very stylish at all.
I think that covers a wide range.
Well, always with a black t-shirt, most often with some sort of Star Wars design featuring Darth Vader, Darth Maul, or anything related to the Empire. I also have some with Thundermare from Magic: The Gathering on the back, very nice. Or a long-sleeved t-shirt, black or dark blue with a skull and firedrake on it. Mostly blue jeans, but two black pairs that I love. Huge clunky black boots (not Docs, although I lust after a pair, which I would decorate with astrological and Pagan symbols). I also have my beloved trenchcoat which is, sadly, deep blue instead of black. It has a pentacle patch over the heart held of with saftey pins. I wear a silver ankh on a silver chain, a silver ring with ankhs on the band on my right index finger, a watch on left wrist and sandalwood mala (prayer beads) on the right, looped thrice, which I may replace with one of carnelian and tigereye betimes, which is a 27-bead strand instead of the 108-bead one I usually wear. Plain-looking glasses. And the hair, in a smallish ponytail, with what won't go into it tucked behind the ears (behind the ears in theory - blowing in my eyes is its favorite pastime).
And if I'm doing ritual, floor-length black robes (not hooded, sadly) with my degree sigils on the right sleeve (very full sleeves at that) and magical / astrological / religious symbols on the hem, all in silver thread. Usually my scary handmade Book of Shadows as well, if I feel like reading Theban.
And music? I absolutely LOVE Dead Can Dance and want a t-shirt of them (is such a thing exists) very badly. Also the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack (especially One-Winged Angel). Loreena McKennit, Hildegard von Bingen, lots of wierd stuff.
Am I eccletic enough for you?
No, you are one of many clones.
For a few years now, I have been wearing my tail with a coat and tie! I wear the tail wet (Sebation's "Wet") and I think it's a GREAT look on any guy. (especially coupled with a five o-clock shadow).
I work as a master's level crisis therapist. I spend a lot of time in ERs, jails, and psychiatric units. I usually wear khaki chino jeans with loud Hawaiian shirts (learned that from M*A*S*H). Seems to work with my pony tail.
And, if the situation gets intense the Hawaiian shirts are loose enough to easily slip my ponytail inside my shirt.
Cargo pants and a T-shirt, occasionally a rayon one. One of my favorite shirts is my Tool 'Lateralus' shirt. I've also got the Salival one, but the Lateralus one looks cooler...
I rather like necklaces, but I seem to have lost all of mine. As soon as I get another one, I'll resume wearing my pentagram-made-out-of-guitar-string that I made myself some time ago.
BTW, I always wear pants, never shorts. I do like button-up shirts, too, but not turtle-necks. Also, I wear sandals almost exclusively. The only exceptions would be when I'm at work and when it's ridiculously cold. Air Moses is the way to go.
So that's not really a style... kind of a 'I care just enough about appearance to look at least presentable at all times'. No one's complained, so I guess it's working for them. Not that I really care... much.
For work, conventional trousers and shirt. Otherwise, the same or jeans and T-shirt. At home mostly shorts and T-shirt or sarong (a kind of men's skirt). With my shoulder-blade length hair usually down, and sometimes tied in a pony-tail or in a knot. Braided in the night.
When I'm not at work I'm totally into the rocker style dress. I wear my hair loose (aboutr 3" past my shoulders so far), tight jeans, t-shirts,jewlery, hoop earrings, leather or old jeans jackets
I am a great believer in the virtues of practicality, so for formal occasions (like seeing the bank manager) I wear jeans and a sweatshirt.
When I am working outside (which I do for part of most days of the week) I wear jeans and an old sweatshirt, and to relax (which I hardly ever have time to do) I wear jeans and a sweatshirt.
As to music, I like some of almost every style and type except mass produced rubbish (and there's a lot of that about).
At work, business casual (I'm an engineer). Outside of work, jeans. When I'm riding my Ninja, which I do often, a full leather motorcycle racing suit to match the bike. Kinda cool to have hair that can be seen below the bottom of the helmet. At church, coat and tie (excpet when I ride the bike to church, then it's 'business casual').
Always happy to see more and more engineers with long hair!
I'm usually in loose jeans and a tee. When I have to do formal things I wear this beige suit and these green glasses and sometimes a hat-much more fun that way.
I think I'd like to get a utilikilt one of these days.
Hmm, when I'm at my actual job (telemarketing) or just hanging out, I wear "skater" pants, assorted t-shirts, and the occasional button-up lounge shirt (usually with retro/tribal/flame designs)
In the kitchen (I'm starting in culinary school) it's black pants, Doc Marten shoes, chef's jacket, and a tall paper toque (chef's hat)
Guess you could classify me as the stereotypical "freak" style. :)
