Hello everyone. This is my first time posting. I've been growing my hair for 7 months now; it's starting to get in that ackward "you need a haircut" stage. I've noticed that most girls I've encountered have given me negative feedback about me growing out my hair. Do you guys experience this a lot, or does this mostly occur during the ackward stage?
WOLFF
Ive had a mixture. Some have said they dont like it. Some have said its an improvement and like to play with it. More the latter. Im at about 9 months now.
i have not had anyone just ask to "play with it". but, once you know someone enough, just ask her. just make sure you offer as well. it's not a one way street, you know. :) anyway, yes, i have exchanged hair massages with a several people numerous times, and it's great, one of the best things about having long hair, to me anyway.
wow, Ive never even had to ask. :-)
you're lucky. you must really have wondrful hair. :)
I'm surprised you haven't had offers. Your hair is really pretty.
thanks. :) however, one reason may be because whenever i get with someone to exchange hair massage, it is planned so that i can wash my hair before hand so my hair is nice and silky. but after a couple days it gets greasy again and i do not usually wash it except for a day before hair massage. (that way it has some time to replenish the natural oils and get smooth and nice and healthy again, but not long enough to get greasy.) :)
i know what someone will say. "you should wash your hair then, and they might start offering." well, your right. i should. but i guess i am just lazy. and i don't want to wash it every other day, so i guess i will just stick to having planned washings and limited, if any, offers. or i may try washing it every other day for a little bit to see what happens as far as peoples reactions. or not. :)
Hey stop boasting! Just kidding. Well now I must see this hair! Do you have any pictures to post?
Not really. I have a camera but its polaroid so the film costs a fortune. Plus we dont have the program to run the scanner.
Seems they complained at awkward stage (I let it hang directly over my eyes much of the time), said I should cut it, but then they liked it later. (Except girls with jealous self-image problems.)
Of course this was '90-'91. Less media trendy now, except in WWF wrestling.
I don't get much positive feedback now here in KY. May be different other places. What positive feedback I get seems to come from negative sources (druggy trailer chic types), or I suspect they're being sarcastic. That might just be me, though.
Well, I'm in Miami. Seems like everyone has the short hair with that "Ocean Spray" wave on the front of their head, or they just look like an extra in the Fast and the Furious, lol.
I don't find anyones hair ackward, how anyone choses to wear their hair is THIER business, to hell with anyone that says otherwise. It is your head keep growing it if you want, don't give in to the negative feedback. I love longhair in any stage on a man, it shows that they can be themselves and feel they don't have to conform to what other think or want. If I see a guy with long hair or super long hair, I will tell them I love it! And no, I don't do drugs or live in a trailer! LOL!
I also have really long hair, I am always told it is very pretty, women don't have the same crap handed out to them about wearing their hair long. Sigh... I wish more guys would wear it long, it is such a turn-on.
I love men with long hair in any stage! The longer the better. I'm so tired of the short hair look these days. Long hair is very sexy on a man. Keep growing it and don't let anyone tell you to follow anyone's
style but your own.

Growing my hair until ?
I absolutely ADORE long hair and will go WAY out of my way to tell guys that. ~LOL~ I'm the cashier in the Children's Clinic of our Health Department and I see a lot of teen-age boys. If I see a boy with even slightly long hair, I'll brag on it. One day, I remember this boy coming through with his mother and he had the start of a very nice head of hair and I commented on it and told him very strenously "Keep growing it". His mother wasn't too pleased with that, but I could've cared less. It made that boy's day. ~LOL~
