Anyone know any good way to braided long hair? Normal I just keep mine in a ponytail or put it out the back of my baseball cap. But now I've start to look for work till college starts again and the ponytial is not going to do it, it never stays for long and real looks bad. I've tried brading it a few times and while I can do it with just two bardes/hair section it doesn't stay very long.
Any one got recomedations or trick to getting it to stay braded?
Do you know how to braid with 3 strands of hair? Most hair will stay in place this way. If you're not sure how to braid, let me know and I'll try to explain. (if I can) I think it would be easier to have someone show it to you rather than explain it.

I've been trying to braid mine for a while too. Seems the key is
just practice. I've read all the information I can find on the net, (which, while useful for theory, don't really help a great deal with process of actually doing it) and after lots of practice can manage halfway decent braids on the sides of my head, but I can't get it right in back yet. I suspect it would be a lot easier if you could find someone to show you how.
Good luck!
I'm a woman, I'm supposed to know how to do hair, right? Well I can't! I don't want to fuss over it that much, I just want to be able to braid it. I can do small braids on the sides but not in the back, like you. And I've known how to braid since I was about six. I can do one large braid in the back, but I find it hard to do all that reaching. And I can french braid someone else's hair, but never my own. StarDruid (and Wetdog): When I was first learning how to braid, I practiced with things like yarn and suede string. That might make it easier for you to get the hang of it.
